Laugh, they removed drachma from Uhhhl? LOL!

It never ceases to amaze me the ways you dream up to hack off players... well done. Don't forget to vote everyone... with your feet....

Nothing got removed from our favorite cave troll. The proc was malfunctioning and giving out drachma. I didn't even change the proc, just reset it when I was trying to clear up some epic crash bugs.

I may beef him up so he's big enough to give out drachma. Its not like I just set a value for the reward. Its automatically calculated.

There's no conspiracy to deprive you of your drachma. Quit being such a drama queen.

I know his honor value is on the low side. It's subject to change without notice as with all quest oriented content.

Juggle is trying (very well) to learn the system. He is making changes that will be better in your long run. He is verifying all major changes with me prior to doing them, which I appreciate. The system, however, is purely academic and calculated, and most of the time even the smallest changes are wide-sweeping.

I agree with almost all suggestions Juggle has made and completed with the epics. His visions are a little different than mine, but he has new stuff to work with and new ideas. I built the skeleton to make it run. Please allow the current builders time to flesh it out as they see fit.

Any greivances can be posted or emailed me directly akasha@slothmud.org

Enjoy and vote

Akasha, i using the opportunity to humbly ask to add a message when Defy Pain's cooldown is finshed and can be used again after its 24 hrs delay.
Everyone will agree with me about how useful this will be and how badly we lack of it atm.
I'm asking you coz i know you'll hear.
Thanx in advance!

PS. Or at least say that it will never be added.

First of all I am glad they removed drachma from Uhhhl. That mob and Klklklpa are way too easy for you to receive quest rewards. Epics were not put in place so that every day you could kill Bolg for drachma. Seriously there has to be a challenge for these rewards and now your complaining again and talking about people leaving?

Without balance the game will lose members much faster than any irrelevant change like this.

If players leave due to these changes then I am guessing we don't want them around anyways.

Actually I don't think he's been modified. There's 2 things at play here.
1. a random element -as with many things in the mud there's a random factor added to the code
2. mob bloat/futility...anything that makes the mob bigger can increase the reward values.

As far as the visibility of mechanics goes, it has been a long standing tradition here that internal mechanics are obscurred. As a player I have occasionally found this frustrating, but I accept it for what it is. Things like honor, drachma, xp, coin values should be decided by the admin, not players. When there is a major change to a skill or spell, they are very good about informing us on the crier. I say 'they' because I'm not a coder and don't work with those things.

Feedback is important, but choose your battles and frame your comments as constructive criticism. Also try not to jump to conclusions. When Uhhhl didn't give u drachma u assumed someone had nerfed him, then when he did give drachma u assumed someone put it back. Both these assumptions were incorrect.

kay..i didn't know i was even starting a battle...but ditto...i was just stating it would be nice if we knew of these changes.. as it APPEARED "Uhhhl" had no drachma. I run Uhhhl' just about EVERY day as i am turnin into a honor whore...and it "appeared" Uhhhl had NO drachma.. from the information i was gettin from all other players as well as first hand experience.. BUT other mobs started doing funky things.. luci had 2 drachma.. more than 1 time.. and there was no houses.. 1 time there was house of heat.. and still 2 drachma.. but you know what.. screw it.. i am for sure not posting anymore.. and the only reason why i posted to begin with is to get some sort of understanding on a part of the mud which i am highly fascinated with and like to b involved with...but wutever.. im actually gettin over epix real quick..i mean if I ever reach Truth's crazy rankin.. not much bonuses there...kinda sad...if you wanna continue this.. lets chat online :)

Uhhhl was lucky if he is was up for 4hrs before 4-5 tards got together and smacked him down... now your saying your glad he's been fixed... If you really felt the way you propose... then why did you hit him for the reward so much if it was too easy? Trying to be the big man in all situations again Mike?

Is honor shifted fixed yet btw? Another 6 months of epics and I can increase my max mana by 0.51%... No, I'm not kidding... 5/983 you do the math.

As frustrated as I get, and as much as I shout my opinions over and over from the rooftop... It's nothing personal. I like Juggleblood and Akasha, and even Mike and all his crap.

I liked uhhhl the way he was because he started epic groups going most of the time. I don't see a problem with 1 mob like that to get things going. I really liked it.

Klklklklpa was a tad too easy for 2 drachma, but the problem isn't in the way it is... it's problems in the "code" so to speak, and Juggle is working on making it balanced. I say yay for him.

Personally, I think an "Uhhhl", only a little tougher, on each continent would be pretty cool thing. But, we'll see if anyone agrees with me on that one. :)
