since the mud game website is allowed to be a political forum blog, I stand up on my own soapbox and will post a tasty dose of reality when I can.

While having some nice platform issues. He is an old school fiscal Republican of which many have been voted out of office by the hard right-wing of the party. The current Republicans in power would never work with him, even if he did manage to win his primary. Unfortunately he is also another Republican from Texas. And im about full-up and done with those. Its another wolf in sheep clothing.

The spokeswoman for the ideals of the Republican party speaks again.

Thank you Ann Coulter for further showing what you are.

Comparing Ron Paul to George W. Bush just blatantly shows your political ignorance. Ron Paul was a libertarian for many years and even ran for president as one in 1988. You are correct he is currently a fiscal Republican. Paul joined the Republican party due to the total bias of the media during party politics. The man has the only real understanding of the Constitution. He does not want to strip your rights every day under some "guise" of liberty. Ron Paul believes in free markets, states rights, government and personal responsibility, gun rights, right to personal property(this right was lost a few years ago). This includes not going to other countries to spend 720 million dollars a day fighting a country that was no threat to our security.

If you haven't noticed the Democrat party is notorious for making our government bigger. They believe that everything can be solved with money. Im here to say no it cannot. The best way to state it is this

"You can't just throw money at a problem."

Increasing federal spending only puts more burden on the decifit and the interest that it carries. We currently owe over 8 trillion dollars in national debt. Who will pay for this? Will our children starve to death while they are taxed at 70-80% just to pay past due loans? The national debt has skyrocketed since Jimmy Carter and the beginning of the Council on Foreign Relations control of our government. Our balls are in the hands of the bankers and if we do not comply they will try to destroy us and our economy. Wake the **** up.

Just a reminder we had a balanced budget and were paying the deficit down during Clinton - this was after Carter.

And as far as Dems making the govt bigger, the Reps had control of everything until just recently and we have more govt now than ever.

See Bill Clinton did reduce federal spending and he did create a balanced budget. But here is the catch. The deficit did not reduce any at all. Do you have any idea what the interest on 8 trillion dollars is. You also have to think about how the money for Social Security is stolen and used to create an illusion of lower debt. The benefits must still be paid and it is almost like the govt is paying interest to itself. Don't fool yourself Bill Clinton is also a member of the Council of Foreign Relations. He also signed executive orders removing 50% of executive oversight and he also had someone steal documents from the archives (Sandy Berger). These things together helped G W Bush to create the military state.

yes I noticed the plateau where Clinton was pres as opposed to the dramatic increase in the chart there. I'm not saying by any means he was perfect, but I do remember paying 99cents a gallon for gas, having a job, and actually getting a raise as opposed to taking the 15 percent pay cut right before I was laid off because the economy went in the shitter and corporate greed.
Forgive me for thinking those were better days.

rant on but Im done w/ this discussion as I doubt I will change anyones mind.

the system is broken and I'm not about to try and fix it, I'm too old , the machine has won. I will continue to go get edumacted so I can get a job that doesn't depends on making anything in America.

yes, in the lower to mid-eighties when Reagan was in da house

[quote:qauy948c]having a job[/quote:qauy948c]

People, not you directly, spend more energy making excuses about not being able to find a job than actually going out and getting one. And that was under Reagan,Bush Sr.,Cliton and Dubya. I have yet to see drive into town without at least 1 Help Wanted sign in a window. Maybe it wasn't the ideal job for whatever reason but it was a job. Which brings me to point #3

[quote:qauy948c]taking the 15 percent pay cut right before I was laid off because the economy went in the shitter and corporate greed[/quote:qauy948c]

Dude this is America, nothing stops anyone from setting up his own business if he has the mindset and heart to do so. Many men and women have said screw it with what they consider poor wages and set off on their own and made it. True alot of them have failed due to poor planning etc etc BUT how many more, went on to make it on their own terms? I can appreciate hanging on to a crappy job because you might have time invested,insurance,401k etc etc but c'mon. Life is too short. If you have the mindset that your gonna make it whether it's working for yourself or someone else, there is NO excuse to be miserable.

In conclusion,
[quote:qauy948c]Forgive me for thinking those were better days.[/quote:qauy948c]

Forgiven, and I agree those were better days. But not because of the economy. I'd never thought myself growing up that one day I'd have to explain to my own kids why people want to kill them because of your religion. That people want to hurt you because you disagree with them. That the world now is so unsafe that you really can't trust your neighbor and even though your kids play together, you keep an extra watchful eye out just to see who might be trying to influence/hurt your family.

no sir gas was 99 cents a gallon in the 90s and I vividly remember this because its when I bought my 2000 dodge truck w/ a 35 gal gas tank. gas was not cheap w/ the evil one in office.

I can get a job very easily but due to some circumstances and some investments I'm using this time to pursue my degree so I don't have to ask if the customer wants fries w/ that.

Oh and come up, down, or over to my neck of Indiana and not only will I buy the first round, we can grill up something good up and relax.

p.s. this is an open invitation to any mudder (and fam) who wants to come up to see the corn.
