Right now, for better or for worse, I think if Bush ran he'd get in - not on his own merit, but on the appalling alternatives available, much like when his main contender was Kerry (laugh!). Yes some candidates have good points, but their bad points outweigh their good... it's a case of "better the devil you know than the devil you don't" imho, as sad as that may be.
I certainly agree that unconditional surrender in Iraq and the Middle East (or withdrawal as some prefer to phrase it) is a very bad idea. Things are improving there, even some Dems are admitting that much. The long-run cost of immediate withdrawal would FAR exceed any short-run gain.
Additionally, US has to avoid heading down the socialist path it seems to be heading in some ways, particularly if Dems have their way. The law and the US Constitution exist to protect the people, not the individual, but far too many people in the US 'me-generation' think the opposite and expect a free ride, while others pay for them.
Uphold existing federal laws regarding illegal aliens and immigration (and cut it with the PC 'undocumented immigrant' BS), start protecting the borders, and give those jobs to welfare recipients - so sick of seeing ungrateful a55hats demanding handouts and then complaining it's not enough.
Freedom of religion, not from religion - the Christian bashing and Islam dhimmitude has to stop. I'm not religious, but I can see the injustice in this country - a country supposedly founded upon Christianity.
Probably a bit extreme atm because of reading some crap from a New Orleans / Katrina evacuee who is living in better conditions than many working people I know, yet is complaining that "it's pitiful what people give you" (her words), spoken from the comfort of her recently renovated apartment which has been rent-free for the last 2 years courtesy of the tax-paying public, and she states this while sitting in her apartment by her 60 inch flatscreen HDTV - because it's not fair that she cant pay the electricity this month.. WTF? On welfare as well, of course - gawd forbid she get off her 300lb fat a55 and get a job. What's more, there is footage of her making racial slurs and claiming she is treated like a slave.
Another woman in a similar position living in a hotel suite for free for two years refused a job offered by the hotel management, and when the hotel said two years is enough and offered the job, she kicked up a stink and made out it was a racist thing, and the hotel caved - now she has a free hotel suite indefinitely.
**** that, I'd like to slap these people in the face and throw their sorry a55es out on the street. GRRRR.
