I have been playing here since 91 and probably would have been til I died snicker, but I just don't have the ability to level someone up again. Ever since i got the optic neuritis in 06 my eyes have bothered me so much that I just can't really group anymore because I get headaches from it. What I enjoyed was doing spellbooks and minor eq and stuff like that for newbies. There really isn't a person on the mud that I haven't helped at one time or another. But with this resetting of the mud I will not be able to do that which I loved. I will miss you all dearly. I still plan on logging on but just to talk really I don't have the ability to do much more. Please know that it really was a lot of fun and I spent way too many hours doing this anyway.

just remember without the newbies the mud won't stay running and please someone take the time to care for them like I loved doing for years.

Shyla, slothmud will never be the same without you. Judging from the posts, it's a full reset. Pretty ballsy thing for the admin to do - it's almost certainly a make or break for slothmud as a result.

I think that was one of the first things Shyla said to me.. or words along them lines. When i quaffed a green potion on SS and died to zombie slaves in fiends. That was about 6-7 years ago. Yet despite the ear bashing, she got a group together, to go get all my leather pants/jacket/helmet etc back.

It'll be nice to see you play again, you're probably one of the reasons SlothIII lasted 10 years. HUGS Shyla

Like Shyla, after logging in a couple of times I have (finally) come to the decision I just don't have the time or the inclination to start again from scratch. Don't get me wrong - there are no hard feelings about the reset at all, it just created an opportunity for me to make a personal decision, which is in no way a negative reflection on SlothMud itself.

I'd like to thank the many people who have both directly and indirectly contributed to SlothMud over the years, and particularly to Jake and Splork and the entire admin/coders for their continued support and maintenance of SlothMud. I've met many awesome people here over the last 8 years or so, and a few assh0les along the way too, but hey, they just make me appreciate the good people even more.

I'll probably stop by and skim the forums from time to time, but that's about it. Maybe someone else can take over the top spot "Hall of Fame Avatar Poster".. I believe this post will be number 2,500 for me - a nice round number to end on.

Bonus: you won't have to put up with me whining about [perceived] Warrior prime issues any more either!

A special adios to the [b:3p2bx3h4][color=cyan:3p2bx3h4]=[/color:3p2bx3h4]sMAc[color=cyan:3p2bx3h4]=[/color:3p2bx3h4][/b:3p2bx3h4] clan members (the Sloth Mud Anglers Club), although it seems most of us had moved on to other fishing grounds before the reset anyway. Keep it real guys.
