No I am a centrist voter and registered Independent.
Southern Republican senators voted against the auto bailout to protect the vested intrests of Hyundai, Kia, Toyota factories in the south. Democrat senators from Michigan are all for the bailout to save GM.
Both parties are answering to lobbyists on the auto bailout.
I drive a Honda because it doesnt break down. If american car companies made something worthwhile they wouldnt be in the mess they are in. The EV 1 car is a great example of GM being stubborn and stupid.
We have had electric cars since the 1920's. Its a total joke.
If you travel to europe and asia, there are real nice fuel efficent cars there made by Ford, GM etc. The factories in the U.S. are not eqiuped to build them here. Honda factories for example can build the same car anywhere in the world with a few modifications for each country. GM, Ford, and Chrysler dug their own graves, so let em fry.
