Random eq missing a home

Postby Acedia » Thu Aug 07, 2008 3:01 am

Mornin',

Did anyone biggish accidentally quit! while in BH armorer last night August 6?

There's a lot of stuff here, looks like from a tankish fellow, although there's a strong indication that it is a thief prime, most likely old school classo.

Find me online, telling me the name of the various robes dropped as well as some of their contents, and I'll be more than happy to return it to you.

Do be fairly hasty in responding though, this is not cheap to rent =(

Thanks!

Mornin' again,

Did a newbie corpse west of BH West Gate at around 1600 GMT -5:00?

A lot of plus low level +DEX stuff, seems caster oriented.

Someone tells me it may belong to Nisse? Contact me online or post here if you know about either batch of eq.

What is the proper protocol when this happens?
Are we just supposed to leave the eq lying around?
Or do we pick it all up and wait until someone claims it?
What's the usual wait time before one gives up and vendors everything to cover rent cost?
And why are all these people quiting and leaving their stuff lying everywhere?! Two in two days...

It happens once in a while.

It's hard to find the owner of a char's worth of eq if it actually belonged to a new player, since none of the eq is likely to be particularly non-standard. If it's from an ultra new player, it's also possible that they gave up playing altogether after corpsing.

As for the first set of eq, if you've got a full set of eq from a higher level char, there will almost certainly be something personal that you can id them from. If you can find out who the eq you have belongs to, but they don't log enough for you to catch them, checking last player to see if they belong to a clan would be a good way to find someone that can contact them. Or at least someone willing to hold the eq until the owner comes back.

Personally, the couple of times I've been carting around eq with an indeterminable owner, I've posted and waited a couple of weeks before giving it to a newb or something.
Be quiet or i'll stab you quiet -BM
