hey al, man i am sorry you lost him. he put up one awesome fight though. if you need an ear, call me.

yesterday the clouds crossed before the sun
today the rains wash away the scars
a gentle voice from above bids him welcome home
and like a wind blowing through the room
the flame of his candle went out
his warmth and guiding light lingers,
bluebells ring and angels sing
and the lord his god says
well done, thou good and faithful servant

Sorry for your loss. He is a perfect example of someone who strives and refuses to give up or give in. He certainly had the spirit in him. My own father
is similiar. He has had several strokes/heart attacks but he refuses to slow down. I'm dreading that day when he won't be around. It's people like him and your father that show an example of what being headstrong and having determination can do.

Hey Al, call me at home if nothing else. I think you have my home number still but if not I will send it to you in an e-mail anyway. I have to admit it is always sad to lose someone close, even more so that being your father. I have similar battles which have happened in my family and the life of cancer is still on-going. It's a terrible tragic disease and 20 years is a wonderful fight, I don't remember which of our fellow players here it is but they'd say Fight the good Fight, it's one of us I'm sure and I wish you the best. Please hold in there man, ur pal. Polk
