While Furball has a slightly different take on the coming elections than I do, he makes a more sound argument. I'm curious,Alias, which candidate are you standing behind.Each one has some major baggage and issues behind them. I'm not talking about they don't butter their bread, but some serious flaws. And it doesn't look like it's going to get any better.So, with all due respect to your grandfather, he lived in simplier times. Sure, there was always danger in the world and corruption in politics BUT these days it's off the scale. You can point fingers and call names all you want. You can't even come up with a response as to why you would knowingly vote for someone who is going to screw you over.....big time.

In my experience with Sloth and other net communities, very few people that post anything after their original "goodbye" post actually leave.

I tend to liken it to bands that have multiple "final" concerts. Once they see the attention they get from announcing they're not going to be around any longer, they quickly rethink the whole thing.
