as for jailed for life, add to that that the driver needs to suffer the same situation - with HIM (the h-n-r driver) being the one who was hit and left for dead and no one to help him and then, yes, left alive and imprisoned in his battered and broken quadraplegic body with no nurse, no help, no hope of death to escape the hell of only being able to blink and sit in his own shite because no one will clean him.
