decanters bugged again?

Seems that when you refill decanter, even with 18/100 you can't pick up anything until you rent and come back.

Don't know if this just happened or what - my thief doesn't have a decanter and i only play my mage once every few months, so just noticed it today

I remember this being a real problem with decanters a few years ago, to the point they where almost unusable - didn't Jyan fix that?

My diamond carafe has been that way since I got it. fill it and vault it or rent.

I use decanter and yup, that's always been the case afaik, and still is.. I fill up before I rent, otherwise you're exactly right, you can't pick up anything, not even coins from a corpse, once you refill the decanter.

The spell is easy to perform for the devotees of the gods, and reasonably
harder so for the magic-users. It will bind the tiny particles of vapor
into drops of water until the water container is filled. Note that only
so many pounds of water may be extracted from the atmosphere. The total
outcome depends on the caster's skill, but it will never exceed 80 lbs.

I'm sorry, I forgot to highlight the part about only costing 5 mana to cast create water. Point was water barrels wouldn't cause you the same headache. But yeah, go ahead and smoke your cig's in the boys bathroom toughguy.

Here's a thought...
cast 'identify' decanter
Get the maxweight, buy that many barrels, one at a time if you must.
Then, after you've done that...
pour barrel decanter
... as many times as it takes, or you could just get a sapphire qwevri and complain about it being the same size container as a barrel, which is what I'd rather do. Better yet, make so many ... cast 'feast' ,preferably a 'blessfeast' and get the pitchers, put them into decanters and you won't spend a single coin on barrels. Good fun, why do people argue about simple and stupid stuff?

Tap has a simple solution, Brady has a more simple solution. I still like the idea of filling an 'endless decanter of water' with pitchers though.
