I doubt any of us take this too seriously.. after all.. it's only a game right?

ps yasuck.. stfu.. they dont have a "Hall of Sux0r" if they did.. you'd be king, with gelding as your queen.[/quote:2rdxoy2o]

No, sir, it's NOT a game. You just missed the point. This my statement is based on It's a SERVICE. Not a game. It's a WORLD. Not a game. It's a COMMUNITY. Not a game. Anyone who says, "it's just a game" is missing the point.[/color:2rdxoy2o], the original and many other you can read at http://www.raphkoster.com/gaming/laws.shtml

Also, i can proudly announce the true reason why you and few others bevahe so agressively and trying to be as cynical as possible. It's psycological method to protect one's inner sensitive and vulnerable world from hostilities of RL, which (hostilities and injustice) otherwise cannot be accepted, reasoned or fighted logically.
Of current playerbase there's two most kind and humane persons : you, sir, and Yinao :)
I love you guise, for giving me the cause to dig up the truth.

Yasik, just a little note...

its a ******* game... just 1's and 0's on a virtual platform on a linux based machine in a locked file cabinet at the bottom of the stairs in a disused lavatory.

A ******* GAME!!! Play it like a game.. If you play it like it's the only thing real in the universe, then maybe you should go ahead and stick your head in the oven to get it over with cause natural selection seems to have failed.

I like playing sloth just like everyone else (when I have time), but when you blur reality with your stupid "fellow douchebag" pointless dwabble on trying to find reasons to justify your meaningless existance by replacing reality with a game..

Then you have in essence perverted the "enjoyment of gaming" that most of us frequent and turned it in the very excellent example of why "WE" can function in normal society whilst "you" curl up in your little hobble alone and dload porn.

PS.
Will / John, nice ;)

What about fantasy, imagination and roleplay?
Let's not forget 'Virtual reality'.
People usually lose those abilities when they grow older.
I'm glad i don't yet.
I will treat what you call 'a game' in a way i see most appropriate.
Everyone else are free to act and think according to their personalities and world views.

PS. Btw, there's no 1's and 0's.
There is an areas on a disk made of ferromagnetic alloy or something, that are magnetized positively and negatively.

It's an interesting point, but I guess that in time, the average age of 'a gamer' in general is going to increase. It's an old concept from the 80's that gamers are all teenage boys, based on the arcades at the time I guess. Now, though, all those teenage boys are growing up and it seems that they don't want to give up their games.

It will be interesting to see the direction of the video game industry when our generation hits our 40's, 50's, and 60's. I expect someone could make a lot of money by producing games that target an older customer.
