Enchanted Rye Bread

So, I go to do some xp runs today...

No rye bread...

Who removed? Why... You've just cut my solo xp runs in half... seriously this is not good. I'm getting sick of this... every time players find ways to get +1, an imm goes chop chop with the scissors. Not happy.

Now I'm forced to group even more... when there are like only 5-10 players ever on. It just really sucks... I'm Not happy.

You can expect things to be changed when they're bugged to allow some crazy overpower.

Although I don't see why it was removed instead of just made more expensive again.

I've been pacing the floor quite angry, so I thought I'd come back and rant a little more... I like to joke around, and I don't take things too seriously, but I'm not in the mood for that atm, maybe tomorrow...

I haven't been around all that long at sloth... but I've been around long enough to notice that when things change around here, it always seems like a knee jerk reaction. Instead of gentle refocusing or redefining, it's just a cutting, a kick in the guts. I got two monks in the wardrobe that can barely muster +10 handdam because of the nerfs in the past. So I make a druid...

I have 623 mana to play with each xp run.

Sanct - 70
Haste - 60 (Normally I mem)
Wraithform - 60
Shift Mana every 3 rounds - 20
Shift Cost 40

623 - 70 - 60 - 60 - 40 = 393mana left...

Everything on lyme, pretty much hits like a truck, so it's kill quick or be killed... so lets say I breath fire once per round at - 30.

393 - (10 x 30) - (4x20 Round Mana) = END RUN

Each bleed I have to do would be -1 round.

I have 10 flaming rounds to make xp! But when the rye's were in, I could heal more and blast less, so my runs were longer.

I have 662hp at less -8... no! I'm not doing mage style!

I've spent 696 hours of my life working towards an end goal, that's been kicked out from underneath my feet! 1 flippin' level from avatar.

So if rye's were being abused, why not change them slighty? Make them for lower level players, up the cost fractionally, introduce a generous but workable cap. But no, you crank out the chainsaw to cut up a chocolate cake!

Whats next, removing the regen vault half the lymers use even though it's someone elses? or is that tomorrow?

I'm seriously thinking about quiting sloth, which I have really enjoyed up to this point, maybe I might look to become a builder... you know what they say...

I still really like sloth, it's the best game I ever played, and hence I am passionate about these small issues that just ruin it for me. Maybe tomorrow I'll be more likable.. I don't have autolycos bank account to buy ryes at a more expensive price, I don't have shyla's drachma, and I don't have taliesins eq. The one peg leg of a rye I stood on, just got kicked out from underneath me...

The cost of rye bread somehow got changed to a much lower price than originally. The cost has been fixed and the item will be rezoned today.

Also, several crash bugs and other ingame bugs such have been fixed recently-thank you Jake and others:-)

Hell, I never even heard of it..makes me wonder what else is available. Also,
makes me wonder what other foods are out there. I found one of Kong's bananas but it didn't quite pan out like I had hoped.

1. level up faster, at 1st avatar you get Aegis (longer lasts and less mana) or Flesh Golem (even better)

2. dont use Haste at all, not much addition in power per mana_cost

3. you should have enough HPs to survive fights without Wraithform

4. dont forget that shift can be unsuccessful (more mana wasted) and rapid shift can be unsuccessful too (even more mana wasted due to shift_lag)

The short absence of the rye bread was due to an economic condition of the baker needing to bake more valentine's day cakes and cookies.... look for rye bread to make a reappearance.


btw quit your bitching, I ate my first rye bread 2 days ago and it was nice, but plenty of people can xp w/o it. I made 5x40 in a monk AFTER the eq nerf w/ no drach handam and no rye bread , normally you don't get ac and handam at the same time, pick one and go w/ it.

If it costs you too much to run in druid form, you should really think of other ways to cut it, e.g mage way.
If it costs you too much coins to buy these items, you should really think of other ways to cut it, e.g heavy elemental school, hellwell runs
If it costs you above everything else, you should really think other ways to cut it, forge some healing potions, cries of a thousand souls

The item you speak of, enchanted rye bread, initially cost 15000 coins per piece. It wasn't of great value, until "gorge" command came in, and so did the "puke" command. You can thank Judge for that.

There are always other ways to bend things around and go beyond Apprentice. You obviously aren't thinking in a wider scale. You sure have expectations, you also need to know your limits.

And don't quit sloth, I always help ones hardworking and people who earn it, like you have. You can ask Sneaky and a few other people.

that is really one of the dumbest things I've heard you say.
Doesnt show you a diff cause you're a weakass and yes I [b:3ppiyl36]DO[/b:3ppiyl36] see a big difference.

X5 attacks are better because:
Mob dies faster, more fight xp per round,
quicker kill reduces curing and lengthens the run,
plus occasionally reduces the chance of me dieing.
