Im a registered Independant voter. I consider myself a moderate republican, fiscal republican perhaps, if you need to tie me down to an answer. Arlen Specter of PA, and Susan Collins of ME are senators i like. Pervert hard right wing senators like Larry Craig of ID (pleaded guilty to propositioning a male police officer in a bathroom), or senator David Vitter of LA (married, evanglistic man, kids, who got caught having his name pop up in escort directories for paying for sex.) Moral majority right? How do these guys still have jobs. So for the pervert senators, the lies, the lack of money in my pocket, excessive spending, budget defict, crappy economy, the twisting of facts by right wing republicans all over this nation, i dislike the right wing of the republican party.
Now whenever you are not a right-winger, or disagree with current goverment status quo you are a liberal democrat. News to me, i dont particularly like liberal democrats either.
Perhaps thats why a candidate like McCain is winning his primaries, while the right-wing goes on hating him, and encourging neo-cons not to vote for him. Appears a majority of americans are tired of the nonsense, and its showing up in their voting. I dont know if he is the perfect candidate. As a former PoW, he shows some common sense, having seen hell and lived.
So the past lets see....who can forget the photo of donald rumsfeld in the 80's shaking hands with saddam hussein during a U.S. to Iraq arms deal to help them with the Iran-Iraq war. My personal favorite is the U.S. giving weapons to Afgansitan tribal leader Osama Bin Laden to help him fight the soviets in the 80's as well.
So can I thank Reagan for creating the mess we are in now with the never ending war on Terror? I dunno, but it doesnt look real good.
Those in power during the Korean war and the Vietnam war were before i was born, and i cant see where I say they were right in their actions in my prior post. It is also sad that those wars had to exist. Also mentioned powers/people arent in power now, nor are we currently engaged in living those wars, so I cant really think much about them at this time.
I am to the point I dont care who redirects this country. But its time to swing this ship around. May the best candidate win the presidency and restore the USA to some level of health.
I can also have an opinion on politics. You are welcome to your own opinion as well. We are both Americans.
Mike, I am past a tape round for an Orchestra in Japan. Live Audition is in March in new york. If i win I am leaving this country. Mostly cause i feel trapped in the middle without a voice, and right-wing republicans make me want to vomit. Ron Paul sort of had the right idea, but wasnt the right guy to get the message across to enough people. Blue state, red state. Hate it. I have no clear answer for the problem, nor will i suggest one. The correct answer will never please everyone. I will go earn more money, have a free health plan, pension, and just learn Japanese. Ill come back perhaps when it all gets sorted out.
Some video for clarification.

Thank you neo-con right wing.
