Life After 5x40

Like Weasel said, most will work on capping stats and weapon damage, etc. Some people do purchase mana and hps but that really isn't my style.

And the fun starts at 5x40 imo, not the other way around.

What happens when you die say as 5x40, and your standard xp loss is like 90mill right? What happens if you only have 50mill xp on you at the time? Do you lose a level? Or are xp losses percentages?

I usually lose tert lev, or 150 to 300mil xp.....
I think the game has an AI that factors in how stupid of a death it is

So clarifying that... if your xp loss in death, however calculated... if it is more than the xp you currently have, you loose a level?

perm sneak, hide and stalk... brought from the mayor...

What's the difference between them all? Do they effect stabs? Aggro mobs being being able to see you? Must I be a thief to buy them? Can casters buy damage reduction?

Why would you buy resist fire and resist cold if you brought elemental resistance? Do they stack?

perm sneak is fantastic, a must have.
stalk is great too.
perma hide, its a bitch if you die, I've seen a few corpse out because of it.

they don't effect stabs other then the element of surprise.
i believe you must have thief to buy sneak/hide

and the res fire/cold used to be bugged, not sure if it got fixed

Perm res fire/cold still poof until you rent if someone banes you (or you cast res fire/cold on yourself for some reason).

The reason res fire and res cold are avaliable seperately as well as in elemental res is because you have old classo caster classes and druid, so you get both (but res is cheaper). When you buy elemental res you just get both res fire and res cold in score, so I very much doubt they stack.

Casters can buy damage reduction if they happen to have monk in their classo.

And buying mana with tokens is worth it if you don't need stats imho, it's what i've spent most of my xp on, I think I'm up to +25 or so.

Sounds like the same problem as the waterbreathing/fly bug when your shifted and a spell wears off, when it is a perm mob ability. If the sloth code is written how I imagine it could be written, I would have thought a few lines would fix all the "spell is perm" problems people have been mentioning.

One other thing I wanted to ask...

Say I have 18 str. If I buy a str point from the mayor at 5x40... do I go to 18/10 or something else... isn't str after 18 measured in 3's or something?

strength goes up in clusters of 10's respectively, same as wearing +str eq
