Robotting is the act of setting up your MUD client to run the character on
its own. Playing a 'robot' character is forbidden, and will be punished.

immortal's message, you are a robot and subject to harsh penalties. [/color:r60d36dz]

[color=blue:r60d36dz]You ARE NOT allowed to program your MUD client to allow your buddy
to have full control over your character. (this also means a leader)[/color:r60d36dz]

Allowing the leader to set your targets, and "all up" triggers are fine.

[color=red:r60d36dz]Cleric Bots are illegal if you are away from keyboard. You will be
considered a robot [u:r60d36dz]even if your actions are not benefiting yourself. [/u:r60d36dz][/color:r60d36dz]

You MAY create actions/triggers that perform otherwise repetitive actions
during and between fights. E.g. circling, eating and drinking.

If you need to AFK to get a drink or answer the phone, that is one thing,
[color=blue:r60d36dz]being AFK in a group for 10-15 minutes while still “magically entering
portals and blinding Mobs”, WILL NOT be tolerated.[/color:r60d36dz] If your leader believes
you are botting, good chances you are!!!

Regarding group LEADERS.....
At one point in the past leaders were subject to punishment if they
intentionally drug around a player (or players) who botted. Does this
have to be enforced again? Botters slow a group down, steal experience
from players who are at the keyboard, and break the rules.
[color=red:r60d36dz] If a person has not told you (or grouptelled) that they would be afk for
a short period of time OR a group member is not responding within a
reasonable amount of time, recall them! [/color:r60d36dz]

Regarding group MEMBERS.....
[color=blue:r60d36dz] All botters are breaking RULE 4. Do not think that your scripts are so
perfect to where you won't get caught botting. The better the scripts,
the harder to be found out, and the harsher the punsishment in the end.[/color:r60d36dz]

Regarding IMMs....
Imms will be watching for bptters, sending tells, using says, and using
other means to enforce this rule. Punishment will enforced.

BTW, is having a script set up like tell me iron, or tell me aegis... are they considered botting scripts? or only if your afk?

If I set at recall, and people are "abusing" my scripts... whats the rule there?

Essentially, you can have fancy scripts that do the work for you, but you must be at the keyboard and able to answer questions, take over from your scripts etc. Iron triggers etc are fine. Sitting at recall, while a bit spammy for everyone else, is fine, although sitting at recall so that people can use your triggers to heal up, iron up etc would probably be frowned upon.

Marge runs largely automated in groups, so I consider myself a bot and I like to joke about it openly. But I'm always sitting there watching the pretty text go by. I recently joked in a group with Seda in it that if your scripts are good enuff you won't get caught. I apologize if I've condoned botting. I don't support botting while afk. Be careful because admin has been known to make harsh examples of people. (Remember the guy who got wiped while running his kids out to the bus?)

the rules serve one and only purpose - to prevent anybody to say that there's NO rules at all
Imms choose by themselves when to apply rules or no deciding dependant on their mood state atm and personal preferences

fair enough, I don't hide behind alts or aliases on crier that don't relate to my chars names, judge me by my actions and I'll be happy.

Running through some areas, to then approach a door,
It wasn’t such a normal door, a key just wouldn’t do.
You had to type the keywords in order to get through.

When on the other side, and ready to go kill,
The leader group tells XXX, “push door“, if you will.
We wait and wait and wait some more, XXX does not respond,
And this was not the first time that this player was so gone.

About an hour later, XXX sees he’s alone.
Could it be that XXX was really on the phone?
The reason for his afk was so hard to believe
He group telled the same words each time...
