Yah, high risk = high return, unless you're a low-doc American home borrower, then you are entitled to assume that someone else will help you out!
The man was either mad or both.

We appreciate your efforts to get the mud going, and understand that being an immortal today is probably quite trying.

Any chance you can give us a guess about an ETU? (Estimated time till up)

Thanks

Bouncing back and foorth through all the muds i have played in the past, tried out DSL, not very newbie friendly, where is the Deb of all chars in muds! i Miss my sloth! The 3 hours i have spent i am level 3 with over 300k in xp, in most muds that would be lvl 10 or higher, sometimes lower, makes you wonder how a mud like that makes the number one spot, no one talks to newbies, or even offers help...

come back sloth!

SOON!

Sorry for all of the delays First there was a Hard Drive crash, then to restore the OS, we chose Fedora 8. As it turns out, Fedora 8 doesn't work so well with the slightly older server hardware we have - it would lock up and have all sorts of problems.

At the moment, I'm copying all of the data back out to the server, which is no longer running Fedora 8. This will take some time because the copy has to go across the internet. I'll try to provide more frequent updates.

Nice to hear from u Jake. It's always nice to have updates. Imagine me clikcing F5 every 5 mins hoping to see something!

Although end of the day, the only info i get is....still transfering the files via internet.

Well...once again....not complaining.

Any time estimates?

I'm like a mad fool switching Sloth Webpage to click F5 to Wintin.net to click Connect constantly and honestly...this ain't fun! heheh

I rather be killing mobs, getting drachma, earning coins, dying and awaiting rescues.....then to click F5 and Connect!

P.S. Suffering from withdrawal symptoms....ignore me if i sounded offensive in anyway.

BTW, you guys have been bored, we've almost moved up 3 slots on TMC since we've been down. You guys rock, you even vote when it might not be deserved.

I didn't expect it to take nearly this long to recover, so I apologize for that. In the 14+ years I've been an admin on Sloth, this is in the top 3 worst downtime events we've had.
