As many of you know, Sergey aka (Lis) came down to Malaysia a few months back to meet up with the malaysian cosmonauts here. Yes, we successfully sent first malaysian to the moon, thanks to the big man. When news broke that Lis was bound to arrive here in Malaysia, I managed to gather a few others to meet up and so it happened. Here is how it went.
It's been a week already since Lis arrived here in Kuala Lumpur, capital city of Malaysia. We've been in contact only through emails as of yet. I've yet to reach him with his international number nor could he with mine. The hotel he stayed at was pretty far off from the city and it would have been a bomb for us to take a cab down and back.(We're only college students:( ) So Lis was kind enough to make the trip up into the city. We spoke briefly through sloth and came up with a meeting point.
We never spoke on the phone nor did we keep in touch via en-route to the city. For all I know, we only came to a conclusion: where to meet and a time. Due to uncertain mishaps, time was delayed on our side. All in all, we arrived at KLCC(meeting point) an hour late. Alex(Mech) whom I just met on sloth a week prior to Lis's arrival also showed up, which was a good thing. So total was about 5 of us, now time to find us a russian!
Lis and I had agreed to meet up nearby the water display just a few floors down from where I met the other guys. It wasn't much of a hassle until I actually got there. Place was filled with hundreds of people. So here's the interesting part, I practically went around looking for just about any white guy that could be Lis! After a long winding search, I finally found our Lis and we went up for a late meal with the other guys.
*From a distance away, Sergey(Lis) actually had a camera strapped on, head facing down, hands on neck, walking up back and forth continously scratching head. Said to myself, yeap that's a Lis right there! Good fluke

Soon after we left KLCC and went to a nearby bar down the road. Had a few drinks there and talked about sloth as usual. After a few beers, we went to a nearby nightstall just to chill out, and eventually head on more about sloth. Lis had alot of interesting stories to share, which cracked us up through the whole night. It was alot of fun and we all enjoyed Lis's company, such remarkable character with a great sense of humour.
Lis will be attaching pictures soon, quite the number are actually missing, about 10 more who didn't show up.
Cheers,
Chi
