In the Depth of the Pit
The pit has been dug very hastily, as though only time mattered to the
digger, not quality. The earth is pretty damp since not much water
vaporizes in an autumnal climate under the heavy layer of fallen leaves.
The walls lack cross-beams and look like they would cave in with first
heavy rain. It would have caved in long ago, were it not for entangled
cobwebs of the trees' roots piercing the ground and ensuring some support.

From your side of the story, Static, the other player was definitely out of line and should not have recalled you.

But, I don't know the other side, maybe he had been cycling for the last 10 hours, had the mob posted in his title, and was regening in the room above? That would put you as the offending party in my book. In which case you probably got off easy. javascript:emoticon(':twisted:')

Almost everyone here is quite decent when approached with the facts. Well, most of us anyway.

What is stupid is taking action and maybe starting a silly war without really knowing the story, although we have had the occasional player who thought this was what the mud was about.

Anyone can make a hasty judgement every once in a while. Best not to take it too seriously. Forgive and forget and you may find that character is your running buddy next month.

We lost a "real" newbie from our mud last month due to crap like this. He rudely complained when someone "stole" his mobs and further pissed him off. A couple of 5x40 heard one side of it and gave him the "treatment", blind, web, slept, attempted idol dive, etc. Not good for a sub level 20 new to the game.

When this crap happens, it best to talk the other party and give it a day to get perspective. Hell, the mob wasn't even loaded. (Well this ran way too long)

It really depends on the Immortal involved with the problem. When the same thing happened to my newb I just resorted to threatening the guy. This will make you feel better but does not do much good. The only response I got was that if I retaliate then I will be in trouble. So the story sounds fishy to me. There is no punishment for recalling someone. It seems fairly petty to me.

How do you know it was a real newbie and why wasn't this addressed? The same treatment was given to Fyrstenheart, unfairly I might add, and he left awhile and had to start over with a new secret,secret char. My point being, harrassing other char's makes no sense whatsoever. We should all check ourselves in these situations. Hated that "realnewbie' had this happen. Someone should have stepped in and corrected the situation,explain mud-politics to the newb etc., or at least brought it to the crier.
