The n00bs might be , but any thief with smarts has a Golden Dagger of Black Thieves. Not sure what the race of the thief has to do with it. Possibly OJ Simpsons dagger?

Customizable eq stats would imho make eq sets building less challenging and interesting.

[quote="13":2fyyjyy6]Who said it hits harder than a bolt? It also doesn't have any +hit on it.[/quote:2fyyjyy6]

I suck at figuring damage dice :)

But dam > hit.

some good ideas for the lights. My inclination would be to make the item equivalent to a 3x40 item, just that you get another item that you can customize for the light spot.

On the rogues dagger...it is on average 10.5 dmg, which is better than anything else ingame, kris and bolt alike at 10. It is 1.5 better than anything you are wielding until you get to avatar, which most likely would be a 9 avg cinq or gimlet. So yes, you may abandon it for a different trade-off later (or you may not), but initially at 3x40 it is by far better than anything else you can get.

I guess the main question would be ....

Was the posion proc "fix" on the dagger to make it worth it???

Any update on this tri40 dagger proc thing? Has the proc vs poison vs stab lag thing improved?

Thanks.

I was thinking one way of handling avatar lights would be to provide a list, all of which allows you to pick once from each, or pick each one twice at approximately half strength for the second pick.

For instance:
4mr
35 mana
.3 ac
...

You could pick any 2 of the above, or you could take only mr and get +6 mr. If you took all mana, you'd get 55 mana. If you took AC, you'd get .5. That seemed to me that it worked out pretty good as far as eq strength goes. Changes to 5x40 lights to add newer bonuses would definitely increase the power of 5x40s, because you'd pretty much customize your own 3x40 item, but I'm pretty sure that's what it was supposed to be the equivalent of in the first place, and there's never been any upgrades made to the lights.
