But, who's the messiah?

:!: BTW In ASCII code,
"Al Gore" = 97 + 108 + 32 + 103 + 111 + 114 + 101 = 666 :!:

Don't forget to add

2006 - Al Gore - General retard ....blah blah blah....global warming is a left wing conspiracy........blah blah blah.......I'm going stark raving mad please help me .........blah blah blah..........who the f cares about polar bears..........blah blah blah......liberals are hypocrits blah blah blah. The end is near.

Mike[/quote:1ra6327w]

What's your deal lately? Has the fall of the neoconservative movement really affected you so deeply? You were on the wrong side. The sooner you accept it and move on, the sooner we can stop reading this crap and get on with some mudding.[/quote:1ra6327w]

I believe in leading by example. Al Gore wants everyone to live a certain way and he does not want to abide by those rules. If the global warming concept was so "devastating" to him then he would reduce his own emissions. Instead he purchases carbon credits through a company that he founded. You dont think this is a scam? You don't think that possibly Al Gore is talking a bunch of shit to inflate his movie deals, book deals and carbon credit company deals? BTW a european country is passing a law that would make grilling illegal without paying a grill tax. It would amount to about 20 euros a year. They are going to enforce the law with helicopters and infrared cameras to detect anyone illegally cooking food. How many CO2 emissions does one of these helicopters produce? This is total insanity. The people running every country have totally lost it.

The BBQ isn't true. It was some party in British Parliament that wanted to tax portable natural gas containers the same way that gasoline is taxed at the pump. The opponents labeled it the BBQ tax and shot it down. How this translates into a vast conspiracy to form a one world government I fail to see.

I am curious to know what you actually believe tho.

:?: Is it: :?:

A. Global warming isn't true.
B. Global warming isn't caused by human activities.
C. Nothing can be done, so we shouldn't try.

And don't try to give some bullcrap answer that somehow involves Al Gore, Jimmy Carter, Monica Lewinski, and Jesse Jackson's love child.

I'm not sure if the carbon tax i was referring to is this same propane tax. I'm not gonna give my input, cause i dont know.

however to answer A, B, and C.
Global warming is an earthly trend just about every scientist out there will denounce the statements of Mr. Gore.
As a matter of fact scientists (whom i dont put alot of faith in, but since it ties in from the past) say the earth will actually be on a cooling trend within the next 20 yrs or so.

We do need to watch the amount of resources we use because they do polute. Polution plays more of a harmful role to the human being, and living creature than anything.

Erm I' live in England and have never heard of a bbq tax.

I know we do have hosepipe bans in various areas from time to time (garden hose to you americans).

We do have helicopters who look for illegal hosepipe use using thermal imaging. (Search bbc news on hosepipe if you want a look) in fact it was a minor scandel when tony blair or at least his gardener was seen using a hosepipe in his garden.

it's the same place that has a CCTV camera every damn where - nanny-state gone mad, and probably beyond saving for any individual-liberty-minded folks. I heard an interview with some cat on PBS who was discussing the recent european smoking bans, and he came out with "i wish they'd just outlaw smoking entirely - i've been trying to quit for years". There's nothing you can do to help someone with the mentality that the government is the solution to all problems. They're by definition not bright enough to educate (or they wouldn't be relying on the government in the first place) and have obviously lost the will to take responsibility for their own actions.
Juggleblood - you left out a rather large number of other possibilities.
Unless you want to stipulate that with around 100 years of actual data, we're qualified to predict geological events that take place over the span of eons?
that's a mighty small data set.
You're also missing the fact that regardless of ones opinion on global warming, it doesn't neccessarily extend to ones solutions of the problem. There are plenty of people who may be willing to even agree that it's 100% the fault of the human race, and that it is indeed a problem. That doesn't imply for everyone that the solution is a governmental one.

/continue with your regularly scheduled flame-war.

When we all have cancer, and have wiped out the majority of species, maybe then we'll bother to clean the place up, or move to Mars colonies. :)

I dont have a thought on the specifics of actual "Global warming", but could it honestly hurt anything to clean up and reduce waste, use, and pollution? I mean why not work on it anyway? I bought a Honda Fit the other week, and love getting 40mpg. Cuts my gas bill quite a bit. Can use the money saved to spend on booze and strippers while I await the announced end of days started in this evengelical thread.

:)

Party on!

Since you dont know wtf your talking about ill refer to this.

I never pointed this to any one world govt conspiracy. There is however a lot of other shit going on in the world to point to that. All through time people have tried to take over the world, what makes it such a hard thing to believe now. Unless you want to deny the crusades, or deny WWI or WWII and the haulocaust its pretty easy to see that people in power want to run the whole show.

I was saying that you can add Al Gore to the list of wacko end of times ppl and you say that I deny pollution? I never said that global warming did or did not exist. I just said that Al Gore has lost his ****** mind. I do agree that we pollute and destroy our environment. I do not agree that we should just halt all technology in US so that China and other countries can go on polluting. Do I drive an SUV? Do I fly around the world to get publicity for my last book deal? WTF did I do? Exactly how am I on the wrong side? What side am I on anyways since you obviously know me better than myself.

Mike

PS Next time you try to debunk me get your ****** facts straight. Im not against you.

Well what point are you trying to make will all this ranting anyway then? It's certainly not very clear.

How is Al Gore hurting you exactly? I think he's just trying to increase awareness of a problem. Why you want to fault him for that?

I'm am sorry I missed that story you were referring to. I like the picture and caption they have on their homepage. Kind of says it all.
