Im not trying to always sound like an ass in response to these posts. I would really like to see some substantive ideas generated. Almost every post about a skill or spell or game fix that I see is related to laziness. I understand this is sloth and you want to be lazy, but the current game is really too far advanced to take this approach.
The coders on sloth already dedicate too much time doing things like checking logs for cheaters, reimbursements, checking new code, checking areas for approval, etc etc etc. We would be much better served if we stop concerning ourselves with our needs and think about the mud as a whole. Making skills that duplicate other class skills only blurs the line between classes and creates less diversity.
Nobody will ever have the supreme char that Brad talks of. Its a myth, a legend of old 4 class muds. This is why I still play a text based dikumud SlothIII. The many skills, spells, songs of the new classes all work together in a way that makes every char have powers/weaknesses.
The only true way to understand is to play a char thats deficient in some area. Find out why some combinations are lacking and where they benefit. Then come up with original ideas about how to improve the gameplay of that class without overshadowing or duplicating another skill.
