Mob reporters

not sure if this is just me or whether theres more out there that's agree with me but most of us group a fair bit and debuff mobs etc. and have reporters that tell us the mobs conditions; how hurt it is, when its blind and who blinded etc.

What I find well not so much annoying as just a niggle is that in groups you can often see more than one player whining the mobs condition and condition changes, in a group last week 5 separate players were doing it to the extent it was hard to see the tanks hp reporter.

I have such scripts with a toggle to switch between off, local echo and grouptell, surely this is possible in wintin too?

I have always been totally against this spam. If you cant notice that Demogorgon has been blinded, or weakened, then how in the **** are you going to notice a spammy grouptell about it. I have led some of the largest expeditions in sloth history and I never wanted anyone to use this spam(small group or large). See whenever I play sloth, im actually paying attention. I read whats happening and react to it, just like any other game. Honestly these bots do not deserve grouptells to help them bot more. See whenever I miss a blind or weaken message, the next round when I try to cast the spell it says that the mob is already blind/weak. If you cant pay attention to that then wtf are you playing sloth for. Theres really no point to bot to 5x40 because your still ignorant about the game. If you do not try to actually learn what your doing (or learn some area other than demonweb group xp) then whats the point of the experience of sloth. It just makes you look like a total dumbass when your 5x40 and cant do your own cr, or cant cycle a mob that I can kill with a trip40. Thats the major problem with sloth lately, you scrubs will ruin the game and there will be no one left to lead your dumbasses around.

I'm obviously to blame for that. And yes, mine has an off switch. I mostly use it when I'm leading. I also have highlights and another window that tracks things if it's not on.

Strangely, I use it as an anti-bot mechanism. If I assign someone to damn and damns aren't happening, I'll check to see if they got dragged into battle, ran out of mana, fell asleep, etc. I also use it to figure out who my power players are. If my weaks aren't hitting because the necros keep getting dragged into battle, they'll get moved down the protect chain.

Whining blinds has the interesting side effect of people competing to blind. Since it often serves to keep people from botting... I kinda like it.

As the leader... I'm obviously not botting. Its just another in a very long list of things I use to lead that's about 100% different from every other leader in the game.

To those that are also using these, please have a way to shut them off. There's really no need for more and many many people think one is too many.

As far as myself... I like mine, and leader's perogative says it will almost always be on if I'm leading.

In my opinion anyone who is leading is likely to have enough experience in the game to have made their own mob reporter, and can determine the necessity of a reporter and choose whether they want on not, (If they haven't got a mob condition reporter then they can at their discretion ask a single player to switch one on), that said my rule number one of all groups is that if someones prepared to lead a group then what they say goes, end of discussion.

There does however seem to be an expansion in what members of groups see it as necessarry to grouptell automatically nowadays, some of it useful, some of it funny the first time you see it, but most unnecessary nonsense that slows a group down and loses the important stuff in spam.
The only things I see as needed to be automatically grouptelled are (I don't count leader directions etc. in this whatever the leader says is generally needed):

My protector is dead ... <> please protect me
I am webbed and will need to squirm after fight (possibly)
The tanks hp whiner, and lite down grouptell.
