[quote="Clink":1hwjyjik]... The random pops to complete forges idea is certainly up for inclusion.

Arent we all remember imms already run 'weekly' forge with random cps ?
It is not a new idea, but still the brightest one to run time-limited forges
without disrupting harmony of sloth. :P

We all forged flawed gems, but remember - the first forges gave us the perfect gems. It was not a classic time limited forge, but amount limited, but we had like five days until reached the limit of perfect gems imms
had set.

What do you mean by 'quest item zoned to single pop..etc'

Quest item can pop on any mob randomly?[/quote:1fzw87kn]

I meant to be somewhat opaque, but was apparently too much. Quest items can be found on specific mobs. They are very rare, but not random. I believe some of them have already been found, but your friends haven't done much advertising.

bwahaha.. they either thought it was a looted item and decided to keep quiet about it.. or keep quiet about it until they've popped a heap more items before the mob becomes public knowledge.

Several months ago, Splork announced that he had zoned numerous pieces of out-of-game eq to each pop once on a particular mob. That is, after the item loads on its assigned mob, it will never load again. Fairly soon, some folks popped a belt of swiftness off Ko'yre'em Yusitel. Any other yields from this program haven't received public disclosure that I've seen.

Basically, I believe it was Demo, the Forest Guardian, Merman, the Krakken,
Satan(?) and I guess that guy from Kara'sa? So can we figure out here who
has loaded what and who will continue to be worthless to cycle?

I popped one of the items in Tarot off the Emperor. They were .6ac +dam sleeves. I'm fairly certain they were a weekly, but I don't remember too many details on them. I believe someone else popped something off a mob that was added with the dinos on the island when a book was put in - I don't remember the mob or what book was on it. I think what he got was a weekly that got placed as well. These were both on the list of items that will only ever load once. I've cycled other mobs to look for more stuff, but I don't cycle often or know what to cycle, so it's not surprising I haven't found any more, especially considering the pop rate I would expect them to have.
