The reality check I'd love to see is on the protect skill. How can one person possibly defend (tank) a group of 20 people who are all attacking the same mob? Its insane.

It really makes the game ridiculously easy too.

Imagine if protection chains couldn't be longer than 4 players. i.e. Tank+3.
Then every group would be composed of a leader and several tanks. Imagine how much more actively people would have to play.

Actually I heard it through the grapevine that this change is coming soon. :!:

We can only hope mobs can disengage and the tank has to rescue.

The player that is doing the most damage per second should tank the mob.

Chuckle, apparently Diazz doesn't remember rescue orders either...

Old school method of fighting mobs before protect was put in game. Warriors basically took turns as the tank. Rather effective if you didn't have a cleric with you. Once mobs started hitting people other than the tank and protection chains were implemented, it became an obsolete tactic, mostly anyway.
