forum thread order changes?

Is it just me, or has everyone had the forum change so the the oldest entry is displayed first rather than the newest when viewing a thread?
Yes, I know I can scroll way down the bottom and change it to newest first, but that is only for that one view - as soon as I go to another thread it reverts to oldest first again.. this only changed a few days ago, and I would love to know how to change it back to newest first again as the default view.. annoying having to scroll to the end of every page and in some cases then have to select the next page and scroll down again..

Yes. The website has been coded to annoy just Weasel.

Actually, they have been flipped, but you can easily get to the latest post in a forum by clicking on the little square page looking button with they arrow next to it instead of the forum name. This work on the list of 5 most recent posts on the left of the homepage as well as the list of forums pages.

It has been changed to be more in line with 95% of other forums on the web.

So now I know I didn't do something to inadvertantly change my preferences - which is really what I was wanting to know in the first place.

btw, just because 95% (?) of other forums on the web list postings oldest first doesn't necessarily mean it's the best way to do it. baaaaaaaa.

Would it be possible to add a selection withing the -My Account- settings to allow the newest first post globally?

Not likely in the near future. There is a new version of this software that runs this board coming out soon. If it is in there we'll get it.
