It's amazing how many numbers you need to say that the mud protects newbies.

If you don't want to stop, that's fine. Of course the more annoying you get, the more you help my case :)

Re: Pthieving ain't easy

[quote="Harlot":2lo8dyxf]Just like pimping my fellow ho's it's a rough life.. however to rebute 12345 and/or Brand (maybe the same since I never seen them at the same place at the same time) let me state for the most part that a certain unoffical brother/sisterhood of ptheives don't steal out of malice. We usually only run about when the MUD is too quite/slow and want to liven up the enviroment. Mind you, if I see a flashy piece of equipment in someone's inventory then I feel a need to lighten their load but I will sometimes just run around and poke at other lowbies such as myself just to 'play a mini-game of hide-n-seek. I've as well as others of my like are known to even advise lowbies about what we could have stolen should we have wanted to steal said item. So to be fair, the pthief who is running around might not be the 'bad guy' that you think they are. We're just bored.

btw-- Got it![/quote:2lo8dyxf]

ok so again...
theorizing that one can leap within his own lifetime, Elwood stepped into the quantum leap accelerator, and vanished...he woke to find himself trapped in the past, facing mirror images that where not his own, and driven by an unknown force to change history for the better,..his only guide on this jouney is 13, an assistant from the future who appears in the form of a hologram that only Elwood can see and hear.
and so Elwood finds himself leaping from life to life, striving to put right what once went wrong, and hoping each time that the next leap, would be the leap home.

anyone have a good STFU NOOB pic i'm starting to miss them...

Pthieving should be banned

Postby Zing » Tue Mar 14, 2006 12:31 pm

Yes, I like Sloth better then any other Mud I've seen. That's why I keep coming back. Yes, every time Poolp and Ptheiving becomes active I spend my time looking at or playing other muds instead of playing here.

I know of several players who played here and quit saying it wasn't worth the hassle and drama. What exactly does Pthieving do to make the game better?

Sloth is supposed to make mudding easy, right?

As for the Pthieving "code", it is all BS. As noob, the first time I knew Pthieving was possible was when a L40 Pthief, Poolp, stole 5 L3 magestones from my "teen" Level cleric character. He immediately sold them, so there was no possiblity of ransom.

Great Mud, great cast of players. A few irritating problems that sometimes make it not worth playing. Losing items that took a week to pop or losing items while trying to raise others is not fun.

This is the crap that makes potential new blood say, why deal with this hassle, and go try a different mud.

I think the oft-used catch-phrase to legitimize the inclusion of pthieving in SlothMUD is 'challenge' ..my reply to that at the moment is.. GFY !:
