I really could care less, I have lost nothing of importance to a pthief. And that was not a bug about leaving jail through dying. He was already dead and the sash leader brought him to conciousness while dragging him to jail. And multiplaying for anyone is against rules, noted as before i have caught him multiplaying numerous times.

As for losing a char he was lent, I hope whoever lent him the char does get really pissed off, although I suppose if you are silly enough to lend a char to pthief it's your own fault..

- Mention an immortal that had nothing to do with 95% of what you are complaining.
- Admit you broke the rules and acuse immortals of abusing their "power" by administering the punishment due.
- Make other unsubstantiated claims of misues of "power".

My response:
- I didn't actually wipe Poolp, just passworded him pending investigation.
- Those that continually straddle the rules will get punished for things on both sides of legality (though I'm sure you believe you are always on the right side).
- The "power" you complain about is much more a burden than a gift.
- When making a public complaint that is clearly adversarial, what actions do you expect to be taken and by whom?

-Actually I didn't even know throwing someone into jail would be an offence. By the way I think I didn't explain myself properly. Blaze (I think) is the character I pushed into jail when he was throwing daggers at me when the original owner of the char was using him. About a week later he asked me if I'd be interested to use it to continue pthieving. It was only then I started using him to pthief and since others have seen both of us on before, I tried to blow people off course. I was hoping some other people have seen Blaze and Demi on at the same time before back when 2 separate people were playing him. Now just because of something I said, I was instantly assume to be mulitplaying and I got wiped? Does that mean if anyone says they've multiplayed they will be wiped? Don't immorts have to go through a log or at least speak to other immorts before carrying out such a harsh punishment?

-I understand it is a burden but are there really no limitations to it? Have I no power to report something just because its a tough job?

-I just wish for this matter to be brought to the attention of the people and immortals of Sloth. Hopefully someone would be able to do something to help me out.

Btw I don't multiplay. If telling a friend to log in and terminate my connection, then logging another character on is considered multiplaying, then I should have probably been wiped at least 15 times in my mudlife. I don't know why immorts say its okay to pthief and then find any way possible to may the successful ones stop.

Long have I lobbied to make Pth a wipeable offense. It seems like a reasonable penatly to me. You swipe a piece of EQ, you get wiped. I believe that would be fair.

If you think that your are being prosecuted for being a pth, think again. I think the imms are way too lenient with pths as it is.

As you all know Poolp was locked. This was because I was dead with some eq and told a friend to come help me log Poolp in and terminate my connection. I waited till the 4th tick when he finally logged me in. My connection was terminated, so I proceeded to use another char to loot the corpse as soon as Poolp corpsed. The immorts saw that as multiplaying eventhough they were from separate IPs and just locked me with the reason that 'they believe' I used different IPs when convenient.

To Qa I think you're missing my point. If immorts told me pthieving was a wipeable offence I'd get off it right away. The thing is when immorts actually state that pthieving is allowed and then wipe me for the stupidest reasons possible. I know you're just trying to do your job but is wiping me for saying "I pushed Blaze into jail before, Gti had to rescue him" count as a confession and something to wipe BOTH characters for without even checking logs?

Pthiefing is, and always has been, a very tricky business. Mostly because what is considered 'legal' pthieving is pretty debatable. As far as the penalty, there's always been a huge penalty. With the glitches in jail and such, the penalties have been considerably less than they should have been even. As for the max penalty... well, you're not banned yet. Help corpse will give you this much though:

Ok, I've been sitting on this info for a while, and I wasn't going to use it...

From what I understand, Poolp used to share a connection with about 3 other players. So, it's very likely that the people in this list have absolutely nothing to do with Poolp other than being roommates or something... The reason I post it is for 2 reasons:
1) One of the chars that was wiped was 'borrowed'.
2) He's claimed that he's going to come back with a Lyme pthief and several people have asked who that could be.

So, most of you are aware there was a list of connections leaked a while back. This is an OLD list. However, from what I've seen, Poolp doesn't seem to be using many new characters. I am also omitting IP info and such. The file I have says: Updated: 04.02.2005, 22:31
