Death Lags

Postby 12345 » Mon Jan 23, 2006 2:01 am

Ok, this is starting to get silly.

The other night, we all got disconnected and the game marched on. I know my whole group was clustered, with eq spread all across irap. Gods were fairly cool about it and helped us get our stuff back, we were only out about 50 mil xp each and however many coins we had on us. We were disconnected about an hour and spent a little longer that that getting straightened out again.

Tonight, about every 5 minutes, we get mini death lags. Chop group clustered 2x, but we got recalled and raised each time (no shocks!). Thanks to all the really cool folks that saved our ass. I lost link about 7 more times before I logged out.

It's nearly impossible to group through that. Any idea what's causing it? Or better, when it will stop?

Jake got this fixed; there was another server at our hosting provider sitting on our ip. They have been vaporized; you may continue mudding now.

Thanks Jake,

I'm so glad that contrary to all other evidence this is now fixed and I can continue playing in confidence.

Seriously though I understand that problems happen, that the cause isn't always obviouse and that they can't always be fixed immediately. I am sure that those who can are doing all they can to fix the problems. I'll look forward to this being fixed and when it is I'll come back again and play.
Lots of Love,

Daisy

Game issues

I guess my fluency in sarcasm is getting rusty, surely from disuse. I can't tell if Daisy is trying to be nice or trying to be annoying.

Back on topic, does anyone know if the lags have stopped?

Hey Daisy, during the period you don't play because things aren't up to your standards, think you could maybe stop posting as well, please?

As far as I heard the lags have stopped. If they have started up again we need to know (so we can complain to the hosting provider) because it was caused by a specific problem and is, the hosting provider assures us, fixed.
