So sometimes I fish...

I've been slaying walleye at the Water's Edge, which is one south of path to kroms temple or firenewts.

They can be cooked in asylum but I have yet know who would eat such a thing.

SHARKS

Postby brand » Fri Jun 11, 2004 12:17 pm

So I was fishing off the docks in Bal Harbor, last night, with my new rod and reel combo... just catching snappers, dolphins, marlin and the normal assortment of junk when i thought I saw a shark... this naturally made me want to catch it... has anyone ever caught a shark? not some dog fish or sissy nurse shark mind you, but the big types (man eaters).

fishing and the tourney...

Postby brand » Thu Jul 22, 2004 5:39 pm

So there I was (was that me there?) fighting in the tri 40 tourney, I would have rather been fishing. I had just forged a Cinq so of course I was stabbing and phase dooring like some crazed fool, wasted to the fact that I'm a triple caster (having fun just the same). I was thinking about that stream to the south of Balrogs Temple when my spellshield went down the first time. After darksight went down I was thinking about how funny it was that my held high light didn't act as a light source (rookie mistake that). There was a little blood after that and some weazing. So now I'm back fishing for sharks and casting firewind (and stabbing, heh). Ready for the next tourney or a chaos night.

Why?

Postby Ender » Tue Jul 27, 2004 3:13 pm

Ok, I sometimes get bored waiting for the boats, and probably wouldn't mind a little something extra to do in that time, but what are the fish good for? I've seen the little temp pearl that sometimes gets caught and can be sold for a few coins...

I saw you make reference to a rare fish. What does the fish do other than sit in your bag? Free food? Don't think I quite understand the fascination. Not sure why I would want to collect fish instead of xp/eq/gold/spellbooks/etc. Please ellaborate.
