The Rainbow Valley

Postby *Neptune* » Sun Jul 25, 2010 4:39 am

Thanks all who have recently adventured into the Rainbow Valley. It was
recently expressed to me that a town such as the Galavan town in the
Rainbow Valley should have a recall spot. Well, good news. I agree. Therefore,
the Rainbow Valley has its own scrolls of recall and its own recall spot.

Should there be any questions, concerns, or problems regarding these
changes then those of you can email me at neptune@slothmud.org.

Enjoy.

Rainbow Valley is accessed through Neptune's Temple on the island. A map will hopefully be up soon. This is the first new area added since the new web site went live, so there's bound to be some issues to work out. The smallest mobs there are 1m, the biggest mobs are about 75m. There are a number that are 20m-40m. There are some real shopkeepers, and they are intermixed with some killable shopkeeper looking mobs. There is an inn, the innkeeper is Balthazar. There's 1 aggro mob in town, a thief. Many of the mobs behind closed doors are aggro.

Right now, none of the found equipment is showing up in the eqlist. One of the items is a shield that's -1.1ac and -3 saves (vs breath?)

The manual for archery loaded in Rainbow Valley, but archery isn't in game yet, so it's not much good. There's a very nice help file for archery, if you'd like to read it. There are also bows and quarrels in Rainbow Valley, so hopefully archery will be in soon.

Here's the forge note:

Passeth it came, that Lord Neptune, Ruler of the
Seas and Oceans, bestowed upon his followers the
the knowledge of the cleansing."Go forth and smite
thy enemies, drive them back into the pits of Hades,
and into the desolate earth that they shall not
create discord for my people anymore!" With his final
word, Lord Neptune bestowed further five wondrous
items in which for them to keep the knowledge:

Here's the query info on the forge:

I have lowered the forge cost in gold of The Dagger of Mortality's Cleansing
to make it more comparable to other ingame forges and forges of similar
nature. It must have been a typo or something. No matter. It's all gravy, baby.

Enjoy.
