Hallowed Walkway
The grounds are well manicured, with trimmed bushes, and stone walkways.
Numerous granite columns are evenly spaced along this path, leading to a
small temple to the south. This cloister is quite serene and secluded.
A gentle breeze blows in from above, making this a perfect spot to sit and
ponder the meaning of life.
Exits: South West

Only 90m from level too... after mudding for 8hrs... really sucks.

I've ran into this problem too and I have gotten an explination for this once apon a time and I will repeat it as close as possible as it was explained to me...

Once apon a time chop was overpowered... and so to balance it out apparently they made each chop lower the xp on a mob by a certain amount or percentage... and of course if your shifted you become a mob and if your chopped your obviously gunna lose exp as well due to the same "feature".

Hope that helps my suggestion is dont kill mobs with choppers shifted :)

Ok, from a few accounts, this is a known ‘feature.’ Basically because I’m shifted I’m seen as a mob, and mobs should loose xp when chopped according to the games rules.

Since when do mobs have personal XP points to loose or gain? When was the last time we heard a gossip that the kobold sage had advanced a level... I think they probably don’t...

What I am assuming is the chop system is purposefully designed to discriminate against shifted druids... and some one has gone out of their way to write code to implement this feature... after all, why give or take xp from a mob when they never use it... there must be some special code written to check if the mob is actually a player and discriminate against it, if it’s shifted. (Conjecture... I don’t really know)

Now, I only lost 35m, fairly small amount, I ended up getting my level... I’m ok with what happened etc... I’m over it.

However... I think it would be nice is this code was removed/changed. Some mobs are no stab or no grip, and I guess that is discrimination as well... but I can’t think of any other place in the game where a players xp is deducted discriminatory by class. Can’t we bring this in line with everyone else? I would run through Tonys after my prong run if it were different.

It's just the way xp works, druids didn't even exist when this stuff was written.
