In fairness, a thief/mage is quite powerful, however, a thief by itself is rather weak. I should have clarified that earlier. My apologies.

It's not about me being right on anything. I'm more surprised at myself for even applying effort at posting a response. It just seems that the easiest solution to every concern on this thread is the one some don't wish to follow thru with. In an analogy, it would be like being on fire, having someone suggest that you dowse yourself with water, then you stand there and say no, it's not right, you are on fire and you want to put it out. DUH!

oh, in simplier terms, make a new char already and be done with this.

Thieves without mage in classo are indeed hard to solo with at sub-tard levels, in most areas at least. But they can be pretty effective once you pile on the av dam and get something decent to follow stab with (mage blasting isn't the only option). It helps to remember that you're supposed to be playing a non-caster when doing so.

Yeah I would be all for adding Monk into my avatar Thief's character. I would have focus, presage, fluidity (i think), ....the super regen. That would be great. With the damage, dam red I could solo tons more, and bigger mobs. Berserk, focus, flurry, improved haste, with an excruciating blow would be a hell of a round, probably drop Female red Dragon. Or at least close. Take care and can anyone tell me how to post an image without a URL?

That's the point of the IMM's. Character's aren't designed to be able to do this. Why do you think all the nerfing goes on. Once you display how easy it is to kill a MOB,snip snip, try again and let's see how hard it is.

Thanks Fellers... hehe. Yeah Tap, JGBLD is correct. I haven't quite been flamed by you yet, but jeez if that silly comment doesn't get you nowhere in any arguement? Nerf at will but what good will it do when my thief char can literally eat any char you'll provide, if provided monk class? I believe with maybe a necro wraith charm, and a spectral charm (spell shield after the spectral drops), hermetic resonance, contemplation, presage flurry berserk, poison... maybe if you can shift I can drop a piasa with all those. If not I have defy also, will even gracefeast myself and gorge before I'd arena that way. So let me see, my thief char without dam reduction eq (I dunno about it) classes as is, and with added monk. -9 +23 dam +19 stabdam +18 to hit. Fluid Wraith Spectral +berserk bonus... 420 mana, 7 attacks, and focus. Why don't you nerf around on that comment and try a good quip to it. It will be fun, you've seemed to annoy a lot of people, judging by JGBLD (s) reply. Take care and yeah, that's what IMMS are for. Cya, thanks guys again for the info of posting photos.

Juggleblood, what can I say? If your looking for Weasel to get a "rise", maybe you should approach him on a private channel. He might be willing to accommodate.

I'm not trying to stir anyone's pot. Couldn't care less what you think. Feel free to feel the same likewise. I'm not the best at articulating so quite likely, the point has well missed the mark. It's the gimme-attitude that's annoying. Imm's don't owe anyone here crap. They sacrifice alot of time coding and troubleshooting. Not going off on a tangent here but to agree with my favorite furball who posted earlier, it would be more appreciative, that the IMM's fix some current problems without adding any new ones.
Oh, and make a new char is NOT that bad.. use old school char's for different types of gameplay. I can only wait to see how some of you are going to respond if a pwipe ever takes place.

If I had half a clue of what else you'd said (most of which I ignored, thoroughly... however enjoyed) then I would respond to that as well. Oh I remember a point. The point (I think) of this thread is that old classo characters are most to benefit from an added new class to their current classo. This has been discussed, since before this webpage opened even. It was thoroughly examined on the Town Crier back on the older webpage, and just like your comments, ignored. Just like my comments to this thread then, well kind, little more, I didn't have anything to say about it except Monk would be cool for my Thief. Oh, I have a few posts that Gumbi made (don't know the password) and I think that Polk actually posted 4 or 5 messages a bunch of years ago before I forgot his password too (for this site). Anyway, here is the trick to you Tap, I'll teach ya how to do this...
