Maybe w/ all the changes ?

Postby alias » Thu Oct 11, 2007 3:28 pm

Maybe w. all the changes the immorts would like to give characters to change 1 class in their order to another class. Many many things have been changed since the start of even the new classes. IE let some change their monk class to necro or mage class to cleric ect. Just a thought, think it over if you would.

Thanx

You can already do this. It's called making an alt.

I wish you had before you posted this. We should be able to remove our own post. That would be a nice addition to crier.

I'd love to change the classo on one of my alts - even it was just to rearrange the class order for their existing classes.. can't see it happening though..

Change classo

Postby Avatar » Fri Oct 12, 2007 11:21 am

I like this idea, but I'd propose a few further recommendations:

Revising the order of your classes should be free of charge, and unlimited quantity.

You shouldn't be able to change your primary class. Any of the others should be open to revision.

This is supposed to be a multi-class mud anyway.

It's also called losing all the time you put onto your character.

I agree with Alias... when I made Crisi, brothers in valor directly affected stab rolls. This was 95% of the reason I picked bard as 4th class - and now it's been nerfed to a normal +2 hit. And since I can't find a statistically significant difference between +23 hit and +25 hit in terms of stabs landed, I have effectively wasted that slot.

Fruitless whining aside, I'd sacrifice a lot to change that bard to something more useful. I dunno, charge me 100 mil coins, reset my quat to level 0, and make me wash every imm's car at least once. Oh yeah, and only let me do this once in the lifetime of the char. Just an idea off the top of my head.

Since it won't happen, I'll go back to stabbing and wishing I could blast when I whiff. :)

I agree I think you should be able to complete and autoquest to do this.

Maybe then all the old school class order will be updated ... However don't
think the immorts would. Since alot of the old schoolers have created new
chars and have lvl them up.

Oh, I do sing gods while soloing sometimes. However, my mana gets depleted rather quickly by lites, rabbits, and the occasional reloc.

(305/305+20) mana (while running)
gods of war - Lvl: 29, Mana: 27, Learned 95%
brothers in valor - Lvl: 8, Mana: 7, Learned 95%

Do the math... :)

Thanks for the tip. As to thieves ruling... give me 1800 drachma and 2 +dam rings and maybe I will. :)

hasnt this been done in the past and (iirc) it required 5x40 status, loss of tard levels and stats were rolled. At least thats what I remember hearing about it. nothing I'd be up for. I'll get by with my classo thanks.

You'd certainly have to have your stats rerolled, and any prime autoquest eq completed would have to be junked..

RR I think it was discussed to some extent back when the additional 4 classes were finalized to go ahead, and yeah, 5x40 would be the requirement, but so many other things are involved.. like the fact you could use an 'easy to level' classo to get to 5x40, then change to a 'hard-to-level' classo once you made it, which would make it a little unfair for those who actually worked their way up using the classo they desired.. in fact this is probably a major reason not to do it as I can see exactly that happening..
