Who do we appreciate?

Just thought it would be nice to throw out a topic of appreciation to those who help others all over the lands of Sloth. Most of us do not go looking for the love but it still feels nice every once in a while. Please follow up with anyone you'd like to say thanks to.

For me, I'd like to show my gratitude to Deb (Shyla) for all that she puts herself through gathering spellbooks, marking peristratas, and teaching anyone and everyone. She plays in a much different way than most of us, and I for one am grateful for her efforts. I also want to thank all those that go out of their way to save each and every one of us from our own stupid mistakes. "You are dead" is very lonely, but it is nice to know someone will try to get you if they can.

I appreciate all the wonderful folks in DS, the people that let me follow them without gsetting me to leader, the folks that join my groups, and my Brand-to-English Dictionary. And of course the many people that come to rescue me when dead, even Auto.

My quick and dirty honorable mention list.....

Shyla - Teaching/attuning/raising/answering questions/and overall positive attitude towards obsticles on the mud.

Alias - Rescuing my sorry butt from 40+mil mobs I was curious about/helping me pop eq on mobs I couldn't 5 run with a nightmare/dragging me around on lyme for good xp.

Quake - Always seeming to know when I'm dead (perhaps a super secret necro ability)/Helping out when I've been looted by one of those 40+ mil mobs I was curious about/and making groups I've been in never need a regen

Lai/Tink/ + About a hundred other chars - Helping keep the newbies faith in sloth alive by hunting down eq/tokens/spellbooks/directing them to help files etc

Kheldar - Always being ready to run xp no matter what

Autolycos - Always having a warm cup of STFU ready to hand out to us marathon runners.

Yinao - For showing that the gay community does have a presence on sloth.

I will admit that i got a bad habbit of calling people gay as a insult or a bad comment etc but truthfully irl i got no problem with gays. Here lies my policy:

1) Dont hit on me and there wont be a problem.

Personally i have met gay people infact i have even had a girlfriend and her brother was gay and there never seemed to be any conflict there.

But i would say that i deserve that comment and thumbs up resouh

Anywho i guess i can throw out my shoutouts and thanks too while i am here.

Shyla: She has prolly taught me over half the spells that I know. Now she sends me others that need taught that she is maxed on and i teach off and on so thanks to shyla.

Autolycos: Now this STFU hand is nice but throughout the 100's of times i have died and no matter how many times he slaps me or tells me to STFU he still manages to come and raise me.... so thanks to Auto.

Atwell: You seem to drop everything at a time to raise people that no one are on the way to raise. And even if someone is on it your always a step quicker to the dead person anyways so i would like to thank you for that.

Rub: Rub prolly leads the most groups in this mud whether it be 2-3-4 man stab blast on lyme or ss eq/xp or bh eq/xp he leads alot and i prolly wouldnt be at this level without his xp groups.

Van: Same deal as rub leads a hell of alot of xps and eq groups lyme bh ss etc so i would like to thank him too

If i didnt mention you and you think that you deserve a thanks sorry i have taken up enough of this post already but it's not like i forgot you

[i:2niich0k]This response is not intended as a personal slight against anyone blah blah blah[/i:2niich0k] My reason for posting on this thread is the fact that it is one of the few positive threads I have seen on the crier. I'm a firm believer that regardless of level, how you act on the net still reflects on you as an individual irl. I do appreciate the people I mentioned, the last couple were smart-a$$ comments since I have a hard time staying serious for more than 30 seconds straight, but I still appreciate auto and yinao and the elements they bring to the mud. I am in no way a crier junkie, post prob an average of once every 3-4 months but saw this and thought 'hmmm......an opportunity to show people that they are noticed' so went w/ it.

leaders for organizing groups, and then putting up with all the group bullshit that goes on - i.e. cf's, arguing over who called eq first, bots, assholes, backseat leaders, etc.

tanks for takin the hits, rescues, having to run back and rescue the dead newbie in the group and dying in the process

clerics for healin and raisin

mages for blastin the mobs down

necros for jujus and infusions

druids for being multipurpose

thieves for wounding the mobs down and making them easier and quicker to kill

monks for being 2.tanks and pickin up the slack when 1.tank drops

bards for the kick ass bonus their songs provide

all the fleeing casters for relite when it drops midfight

yeah there are specific classes i left out - but i think i pretty much have my thanks covered.

oh yeah. thx shyla for being our beloved librarian. don't know what we'd do without you

and thx imms and admin for supporting our mud habit and paying the rl coinage to keep this game FREE.
