Hrm, thats a strange thought. I was grouping with Al and Keirin every day before he got booted. I bugged Clink constantly afterward and was the first person to ask for an explanation on the crier. I also still talk to him on MSN and look forward to his coming back.

Also Brad is one of the first people I started hanging out with here and one of the people I know and like the best.

I just found it amusing that there's a newb with your clan name and I like antagonizing Aaron because he's an elitist jackass who enjoys antagonizing everyone else. It doesn't mean I don't like him though (strangely enough).

It's hardly a ~DS~ conspiracy. It was just me and Elsie (who's not in DS btw) having a laff over the fact that some newb named himself DOW.

It's funny that Krok, Medios, and 13 are so quick to come to blows on the crier. Medios is gonna break his foot off in my ass. 13 and Krok call me a newb. You want me to pretend that I'm scared or angry? Maybe I should apologize for trying to offend Aaron's gentle sensibilities? I'll gladly comply if it'll make you all feel better.

This a pretty strange accusation and I hope you just let this ridiculous thread die.

had no idea any of this was going on...sounds pretty lame and childish to me and would hope no one takes offense on any 'side' or whatever the hell you wanna call it. DoW and Pirates even have always rocked in my view, some of the most helpful on the game and run some badass groups along with DS. I'd rather be mudding and enjoying everybody's company than flaming. hmmm not for the first time my names been brought into a thread on here without my knowledge and I seem to now be in the middle of some stuff I didn't ask for.
I know myself and I know from previous experience I'm probably going to say stuff on here that on reflection will probably be a mistake and is going to get me flamed ... oh well ... it'd probably be better to say nothing and let it die down ... but then thats not me so here goes:

To set the record straight:

I am not a member of DS DOW or any other clan, I am open to offers and would love to join a clan, the people I know best on Sloth are mostly DS but I have to affiliation to that or any clan. I would be mortified if I thought anything I did caused problems for DS.

I have no vendetta against DOW (or any clan) nor against any member of DOW (or any other player), I am not trying to piss anyone off or annoy anyone. There are players here I don't like, but I'll carry on in my own way of ignoring them, not joining their groups but still rushing to raise or CR for them if I'm in a position to do so.

I have helped a newbie by the name of DoW out considerably both in terms of equipment, gold, corpses to get his first juju and probably most importantly with advice.
I have introduced him to some of what I consider the best / most helpful players on here and wish him all the best.
Further I have suggested to a small number of players that they may wish to give him a hand.

My reason for doing this, apart from my good nature (I've done this to a lesser extent for many new players), is that he was getting hassled by as I understand it 3 members of DoW who took offence at his name or wanted to buy his char.
I told him not to make a quick decision and gave him eq and gold worth at least 3 times the best offer he'd had, which was a paltry offer at best, I also suggested he get in touch with the clan leader (sorry I've no idea who that is) and explain his name choice and see if there was likely to be ongoing problems and try to come to some arrangement if need be.

To be completely frank I will admit that I find the fact that he's running around with the name Dow and there are clan members with his name in their title funny, personally I find that hilarious, but then I'm warped.

oh gods I knew something like this would happen if I posted in this thread but as my name had been dragged in I felt I had to.

aparently my last post has caused upset:

well ok I've picked a few quotes out of context but they're a fair summary I think.

To make this clear I wasn't making fun of anyone, I wasn't making anything, I haven't teased anyone, I haven't slighted anyone I haven't told Dow to make a nuisance of himself or parade in front of DoW clan members showing off his name, but I did find the situation funny, I still do and why not? it is after all funny in the same way that people mistake me for Elseh and send me tells in russian. Its not a slight on anyone ... if you want to pay DoW for his char thats between you and him, if I want to give him some equipment thats between me and him, if you get upset at this or my previous post then I'd suggest you get off your high horse and stop taking yourself or this situation so seriously, relax a little, chill out and calm down.

I didn't start any of this, I got dragged in half way through and tried to explain honestly and fully my involvement from start to what I hoped would be the end.

And before you complain, yes I am now making a little bit of fun of you but only because of Osas tirade against me.
