I disagree with that Auto. The Immortals are the ones who have to constantly deal with Albert. While I like Albert, it gets to the point where we need to ask ourselves if its worth it?

I like the way he is handling it and we will attempt to handle it in a similar manner. We are not going to go into specifics but I will say this, there is a lot of history here.

I have to say that Al has been a good active member of sloth since hes been in DoW. I dont know what has happened to bring back this former trouble but was it deserving of a ban? Hes not a grief player, does have a foul mouth sometimes but I never knew that was a problem. From what I know about Al hes childish about his temper and some players push him and he retaliates and is punished. I dont see him going out and starting problems. If I wrong please interject.

Must say that i'm agreeing with some of what Auto said here, supposedly Gimlet's basicly being banned for words towards other players, yet no one other than immortals seem to agree with the ban, or are even being asked for their opinions on it.

And do any of us actually care about the "history" in favor of what what he's like now?

No one except a few of the Immortals know 1/100 of the dealings with Albert.
Those commenting on it would not be if they only knew of 10% of it.

When you guys start dealing with player issues on a daily basis, we will ask you your opinions or maybe even a vote. Nobody has stated why Albert has been banned but you can be assured it has alot more to it than "words against other players".

Gimlet has been found guilty of being a prime instigator in a truly heinous series of sexual predation crimes against koboldity. Gimlet was taken down in a sting operation which uncovered a highly disturbing racket where naive young kobolds were lured into the wildlands north of the Kobold homeland with false promises of untold wealth and glory on the gold-paved streets of Bal Harbor. Once the bait of fame and fortune was taken, Gimlet would lie in wait and ambush the unsuspecting young kobolds just south of the west gate of Bal Harbor, at which point he'd incapacitate them and have his perverted deviant ways with them for days on end. When his sexual needs were finally satiated, he would then trade the distraught young kobolds to a used-sexslave dealer in Bal Horbor in exchange for unspecified amounts of shoop-shaped cookies (his other addiction). The identity of the used-sexslave dealer remains unknown at this stage in the investigation.

this issue has been resolved and settled, I hope everyone would just let it die down.

I realized this morning what Clink meant when he said "I'm sure you felt it was right, which is why your argument carries no weight"

I've committed many many many many offences durin my stay on sloth, and abusin newbies is definitely one of them. It's easy to say I've been good lately so they should let it slide. The point isn't whether i felt webbing kotetzo was justified. The point is that I felt compelled to do so in the first place. It probably showed to Clink that I was still agressive towards noobs, and was a dormant volcano waitin to erupt and he didn't want to take that chance.

I've been a total bunghole in the past, and even if they did siteban me, I would've left. I owe it to them not to create a big fuss.

Sure, when this first happened, without knowing why clink did what he did, it's easy to criticize. But let me be the first to say, Clink was absolutely right to do what he did, so stop pointing fingers plz.

I have the same sort of anger and it doesn't have anything to do with
"newbies" it has to do with people being stupid fkcing turds. I don't think,
that just because someone is in the form of a smaller character, that they
should get any leeway. Asking questions about sloth, dying a lot, those
are offenses that newbies commit that have to do with their being newbs.
Running your mouth has nothing to do with what level you are. Screw that.
I have said it before and I will say it again. Your best bet is to act as though
the person you're talking to is within striking distance in rl. Otherwise people
get up on their internet horses and start running off at themouth. Kotetzo
knew what he was doing was stupid and detrimental in general, so he should
pay the consequences. His level in Sloth has nothing to do with being a
mouthy fcking turd who wants to push the envelope. As far as I'm concerned
Kotetzo is the same as Fyrstenheart. I blame myself, mostly, for the way Al
is/was as far as his conduct on sloth. When we met, I acted that way myself
was apthief, a nuisance and 20 years old. I ended up becoming a (shitty)
part of Sloth with a couple minor changes. Al has followed suit with the
stealing and lying and ignorant useless vulgar comments I feel, because I
was able to get away with it. The thing is, we are two different people and
that dress doesn't look very good on him. What it boils down to is that he
will give you the shirt off his back and do whatever he can to help his true
friends. I have done my best to stick up for him at every turn. This includes threatening Corwin with Elwood, inviting him to enjoy the aegis
of the Dogs of W(hore)ar, giving him eq, characters and so forth. With
this, comes the fact that I'm probably harder and more exacting on Al
than anyone else on sloth, because I think I probably know him better.
I *know* he can do right and is smart etc, so when I see bullshit, he gets
it that much harder. Before you say 'well he hasnt done such and such
to you', just shut up, because he has. We have had our go-rounds many
times before. And just like BillyBob and I became close buddies after a
couple 'disputes' I feel the same way towards Al. As far as I know the
sentence imposed is a 2 month ban from sloth, correct?

I think Aa has it right. Al is a smart guy that's a little rough around the edges. Sometimes people have to take a couple rough knocks to get straightened out. That's just life. I think Al is taking this with a great deal of maturity, especially considering his character.

I've been known to be more tolerant than most... However, I think the fact that Kotetzo has gotten himself banned from a few groups shows that he suffers from a similiar sort of immaturity. I know that he doesn't have Al's history, but I hope he's taking notes all the same.

I am not gunna point fingers or say it is justified or anything like that. But i will say that i have put up with gimlet harrassing tossing pkilling and everything but i must say that as much as i hated him I still wouldnt want to see him go like this but i dont know what all went on in the past seeing how i just started about a yr or so ago if that. I was furious when he pkilled me and someone had to raise me at the time but now that he is gone where is that gunna come from but i wont say i am gunna miss that but i will miss ya Al sorry it ended like this

Regardless, on a seperate note. Gimlet, I wish we had met under other circumstances; I've had a lot of people tell me that you were a nice person, and a helpful part of the MUD. I do not contest this. I just hope that you, like me, will be extremely careful in the future when it comes to making decisions that could possibly be viewed in a harmful light.
