Here it is, our newly themed website!

Postby *Splork* » Sun Oct 01, 2006 7:45 pm

The administration of SlothMud III is proud to present this newly themed website. It was a collaboration of several individuals with countless hours of work. We'd like to thank Wade Gustafson for the spectacular graphical design, Clink for the PHP coding and Splork for the overall coordination.

Love the new design, but is there any reason it can't go to the full width of the screen?

Yes. It is a fixed width set of imagery.

It's just a shame it's all scrunched up down the left three quarters of the screen when viewed in 1280/1024.

Good news, i like changes 8) !
Although, as for me, the very old player, information and usability
of this site are more important things.

Of course, design is matter, but.. think...

Most of new players come to web site firstly, and the even first impression
is very matter. According to first impression they decide if they want to
try playing or not. I am afraid, the first impression would be something like
"wow! it is a very dangerous world where players have to defend their lives
from terrible monsters every second!"... Those players who likes intensive
combats probably would start playing and soon some of them would get
disappointed becouse Sloth is not the world they expected. Those players,
who does not like horrible monsters and andless combats much, may
decide Sloth is not for them... and even would not try our world. :(

Splork, Clink and Wade Gustafson did great work. *respect*
Think, primary conception was mistaken. Again, it is only _my_ opinion.
I would prefer less aggresive, calm and more associated with "family mud"
design.

Feel free to sumbit us your high quality, CSS/HTML implementation of the "family mud" graphical design. We now have the rest of the website code done in a way that it can be easily integrated. If it's better than this one or at least equivalent, we could make it the default theme. Otherwise, we'll let players choose which one they will see.

If you are looking for a specification, use Xanthia specification for PostNuke.

Cheers,

I think we need pictures of scantily clad women adventurers also -- that would help attract people.
