forging or fuse lighting?

so today I got hustled by the dwarf artisian in moria while forging up some golden net clasps...

first forge explodes...
no big it happens...
second forge explodes...

this happened within 30 seconds of one another.
so besides thinking I only complain whenever something odd happens to me... I was puzzled aliitle by this...

the probability is high (so was I) that this would not happen right? that and the fact that there was no text showing the normal taking of items and cash (they were taken though) leads me to think maybe... he's sorta broke... because checking the gold in the bank I know I am.

hmm.. or maybe there's some time-based factor.. which is something I've suspected for a while now with rerolls (as in what time of day)..
