Last night (my time) for a lucky few on the MUD "eqpop" was turned on for an hour. Every mob killed in that time, when reappeared, loaded the item assigned to it. It was a great night, and now that its the next day and the mad scramble to kill mobs is over, it just starts to sink in how fun the whole event actually was. I don't talk about that in the "me, me, me, I got good eq" kind of factor, but the fact that everyone in my group all pooled together and helped each other out to get one pop for each person, that they really wanted.
I was in Krok's eq group on SS. She got us all killed, and the tank nearly died every mob, but we couldn't have done it without her! It was crazy, one bloke in group got told his job was to spend his 600-700 mana bag on frost bolts on one mob! There was this true sense of congratulations, when everyone got there piece of eq. Looking back, I almost wish I had taken the time to enjoy it more, not from the eq point of view... but the fun and sense of banding together against the odds.
I'm not totally sure... but I think I even saw Krok quit! when she died to come back and use the mana she had to raise others. Very noble and might I add, that is a true leadership quality beyond this game.
Thanks Splork and thx Krok.
