Heh.. I live in New York now and I know or/and am friends with far more Russians than Americans. It seems really bizarre considering I'm in America. Come to Brighton Beach in Brooklyn - most of the shops have Russian signage rather than English, everyone speaks Russian as the first language, and Kvass is commonplace (stolichnaya is available too). BTW, Russian food is -really- nice, much better than American hamburgers and hot dogs! Give me pelmeni, salat olivier, blintz and golubtzy any day! hehe.
