Sochi botting

Hi,

I have played a few new characters on and off, just for fun. The above character has stepped into areas and rooms to steal kills.

Although not as obvious as Jecka, Sochi is actually worse because it is day to day botting, because he has one eye on what is happening.

The odd botting here and there is fine, but this is awful. Others will add I am sure. Please apply your own rules and ban

I will return and PK repeatedly if nothing is done by the weekend. It is not fair on others. By your own rules, PK is legal if their is a fair argument and here I am setting it out beforehand.

I have done no such thing. And there is no such allowance for pk.

I said no such allowance, as in the one proffered by our dear friend here. I'll grant you that rule 3 invites such rogue interpretations.

I have not done this guy any wrong and I would be nothing but amused by repeated attempts to pk me. I would merely report it and play a different character until he left.

It's ridiculous to have zero interactions with this guy and then get called out for assassination on the forum.

I too have come across Sochi playing particularly low level bh runs on a regular basis.

I can understand how seeing the same player running the same areas repeatedly might look like botting, especially when playing a lot of hours and getting obscene xp/week numbers but that is not the same as being a bot.

Even though running the same areas while Sochi has walked into rooms I was killing in he has never stolen a kill or tried to and has always responded to all says / tells intelligently, conversely he was always been helpful polite and considerate.

From my perspective this looks more like xp jealousy rather than anything else.

(btw I have come across bots esp. in cata who in tells have admitted such to me in the last week but that does not include Sochi).

Sochi admitted to botting on gossip a few days ago, but he seems to think everyone does it, so it is ok. I usually just ignore it, but three times in two days now he has come into the same room as me and killed a mob I was away to kill, which is annoying. I did emotes on him and there was no response. It was similar to Jecka ages ago who use to bounce in and out of areas. We webbed and pk'ed and and he was ultimately banned.

I actually think the 15 40 40 thing Sochi is doing is good fun, but there has to be boundaries and there are rules on botting

I am NOT breaking any rules.This is why mortals don't enforce the rules. They don't have the snoop command. Yes, I talk about how good my scripts are on gossip and on the forum. I'm sorry it makes you jealous. I've even provided some feedback on how to improve msdp so that we can do more and some of it's been implemented. If you need help learning to use your client, let me know. Maybe you are new to mudding or something and think that clients are cheating.

I'm sitting in my kitchen studying and mudding and conversing with people. You make a snap judgement and decide to issue the ultimatum that if "something is not done about me by this weekend, then you're going to pk me over and over." You are clearly in the wrong.

How is it that I am the target of your ire, yet there is a person who has many more kills than me only chooses to divide those kills among seven characters named for days of the week. If I am cheating, I am doing a very poor job of it given that in time it's taken me to get Sochi to triple 40, Hung made Hung, Wong, Kung, etc... How is it I've been passed up so quickly by Calvin and many other new characters? What unfair benefit have I in particular gained? I'm leveling MORE SLOWLY than those who play in groups. The advantage for me is that I can do two things at once, whereas if I did this in a group (as so many do) my divided attention would be a drag on other people.

I'm not hurting you sitting at my desk studying and running bh areas. There are 13 or so different areas that I like and well over a hundred mobs. Wake up. I'm not cheating, I just have good scripts, and not nearly as good as many other people. You're merely looking at one or two statistics and making lousy assumptions. Who are these alts you are supposedly trying to level but can't because I'm stealing your kills? That is such a stupid lie and provably false. Wtf is YOUR problem and why are you blaming ME in particular? It's very crude to attack one individual on the forum like this and I wish they would take this nasty post down.

However you are doing it, just take the time to check the room and check the area you are killing in for other players, that is all

I have a few characters now, I am enjoying playing with different class combinations and having fun experimenting. The key thing is, I like my privacy and I like to play the game as God intended.

I am not raising a stink. As I said, if you come and steal one of my kills again and I believe you to be botting, I will pk you, and I will repeatedly pk you. This is a warning of intent which is laid out for when you complain to imms should I pk you. It is a warning in writing, and it will remain here on the forum.

I am not against scripts or whatever, just consider other players when playing.
