Chop

Postby Toxis » Mon Aug 01, 2011 11:08 pm

Although I find the exp in chop nice, I find chop groups boring. Wimpy's SS or Zuzu's BH seem more fun. We use more than just tank and clerics in those. So speaking just about the design of chop, not the xp, do you like chop (yes) or don't like it (no).

i can probably get more exps running solo but it is hard to concentrate for 8 hrs straight.

Chop is like a family picnic. Everyone is there and there is something for everyone.

I like to call it a brainless family gathering.

I personally find chop boring, you either blind..assist or heal assist.. yeah... 1 hour of that and I find myself on the sloth forum. You don't want botting yet you put something in that is truely that.. botting for xp, leeching off the masses.

I don't see how chopping is more or less boring than other groups. At least with chopping you don't regen every few mobs. No matter what type of group it is, you only use a couple of skills/spells. Is healing/assisting that much different than blasting/assisting?

Personally, I would like to see more choice of *types* of exp group. Right now, the only 2 ways to make good big group exp (4 + players) is either off-Lyme (Wimpy-style exp) or chop.

I think reworking Desert to make it worthwhile in terms of exp would add another option and thus add more fun/diversity.
