Newbie sac boards

Could the limit for praying for holy items be raised to 1000 from 150 or removed altogether? Maybe a few more newbies would stay if they didnt have to kill for hours to qualify for a holy item.

very nice idea, maybe even take it one stage further and drop a full set of holy eq on every new starter that vanishes when they level to say level (3?) with a nice Congratulations! message here is how you can pray for holy equipment

you might also consider adding another temple or 2 to valk or increasing how many can have items like allowing 3 of each of them though i think adding a couple more temples to valk would be the better solution....

The status quo affords sound opportunities to teach new players how to use the area maps, find a temple on another continent, and get eq there.

(Hi Atwell!)

P.S. Handing out holy swords without any work done would create an impression that it's easy to get exp here. They should learn to solo for hours and die to get levels from lev 1 ;) What stops them from being hooked is most probably not knowing what to do or how to do things (dying on 1-3 lev, not knowing what to do, and thinking they'd lose everything is 2nd). Old Diku/EnvyMUD schools existed for a reason, IMHO.

I wonder what the conversion rate of visitor to player on Aadvark and other muds are.
