I'll get the ball rolling:

It's freaking awesome!

I couldnt test many of them due my to level limitations but the progression feels great and it's awesome how they are segmented into caster forms ( uses mana for casting but can hit ether and does strong damage ) and melee forms that are further segmented into weak-ish AC but good damage output and great AC but low-ish damage output. Both panther and bear forms are awesome and i see bear form as a very viable low-mid level tank, although i couldnt get the hang of panther's pounce as it seemed to only work in dark rooms ( which makes sense, kinda ), but it would be even more awesome if it turns out that they are not limited to dark room only pouncing and would be great to see panthers as a viable replacement to thieves backstab in low-mid level groups.

All low level forms seem to have very good mana conservation so it looks like it could be a blast to level a druid with so many forms available at reasonable intervals.

2 bugs i found were boar's charge just hitting the target for no damage and not engaging the fight and griffon form ( 2x40 + 32) shapeshifting me into some sort of eagle with 50% less health than its predecessor form ( which is also a caster form ) and hitting for silly small damage. And well, i would also expect the elephant to bash with a bit higher success rate, given its size and all :mrgreen:

I'm kinda sad i cant test the higher forms yet, but i hope they are just as well balanced and progressive as the low-mid level ones and filled with just as many new, fun and druid defining skills!

Mornin' folks,

Glad you enjoy the forms. Just some random comments:

- Over the next day or less, the old form stats might be incongruous with their new positions; I didn't change them yet given folks might have still been using them (right!). They should be readjusted shortly
- A few targeting methods got slightly borked; working to fix those
- Damage from the procs may be slightly irregular. Stats and damage are subject to change. Could be better, could be worse.
- If you find anything with 1 hp or some odd stats, let me know. I probably forgot to copy and/or save.
- Spell bonus, healbonus, damage, and +hitroll affect about 90% of the new skills.
- Will try to get help files in, but priority is getting these bugs and misfunctions taken care of first. Best I can do for now I'm afraid are those short blurbs from the quest thread.
- Will try to keep a log of changes/fixes in that other thread
- Some old forms might get retweaked, wurm and wyvern probable
- Suggestions appreciated, will try to add more abilities in the future, i.e. a charge/discharge attack for the cephalopods, finish debugging that ambush thing for mymecoleons, passive burning aura on phoenix? Who knows what else!

Canopied Arbor spell seems very restricted in its usage. Possibly open up the spell to all outdoor rooms? or just take a look at it. Thnx :)

Dive still doesnt work for griffon form and bash in elephant form doesnt work at all ( constant misses ) and hence stomp doesnt work either.

And darksight and stone skin still fall when you in form. Didnt notice exact for other spells, but think the same.
(Saw that mostly in crocodile form)

Perhaps related to the change regarding small spells, I got spammed by spellcraft while shifted (this was before today's reboot, fwiw):

The way I made it is pretty simple, on shapeshift, the time counter for certain spells just stop.

A collateral (fun) effect that I didnt think of ... if you shapeshift rigth 60 seconds before any of those spells fall, spellcraft message will fire ... over and over, since you will always have 60 seconds before that spell supposedly fall.

Random changes:
- Griffons can dive now
- ALL equus forms can charge now (previously only unicorn couldn't charge)
- fixed a fairly hilarious bug with charge, both in target acquisition and damage output

To do:
- Bash/stomp for elephant

Bug with wearing off spells still exists. Got it today, while was shifted. It stops spam only when i shifted back

Bug: Battleshift can fail with 'lost concentration.'

The two logs below that you don't need to read show me failing 4 battleshifts in a row with 'lost concentration', and in the next fight failing 4 battleshifts in a row with the proper skill failure message. Four in a row sounds bad, but eight out of ten.. ouch!

As a side note, when attempting a form-to-form shift you are best off making your alias #8 shapeshift because the fail rate is so high. You can fail the base 5% shift, the 15% battleshift, the ? battleshift concentration check, AND the 15% form to form.

The lost conc might be coming from front-line / solo modifiers that would be erased by the battle focus skill if I was casting a spell.

Finally, if lost concentration while using Battleshift is NOT a bug, I beg you reconsider. My skill is not a spell, and already has a 15% or higher fail chance before lost conc. Thanks!

Stuff like that really gets me annoyed. Failure rate in sloth is 15% or so we are told. Truth is it's higher because of all the stacking of failures that goes on.

You can fail at anyone of these points...

Shifting
Battle Shifting
Rapid Shifting
Shifting form to form

That's 4 points of failure for the player! Other skills have the same problem. Way too much fail.

The official skillstats for druid forms are pretty scary..

battle shift Success: 313 Fail: 114 Percentage: 73%

I suspect the lost concentration I mentioned above aren't counted as fails by the live info, so the actual success rate is much lower than 73%. I think my success rate is around 50% with all the skills maxed out.

shapeshift form to form Success: 183 Fail: 58 Percentage: 76%

Rapid shift is a little better, but wouldn't 85+% be nice for a 50 drachma skill?

Another change I'd like to see, less important:

Can we get battleshift as an active skill rather than a passive one? Players please flame me if you wouldn't like to see this, but I've died many times when I get attacked after queuing a shapeshift but before it fires. I considered not learning battleshift just because I knew from s3 that this is a problem for me.

As an all powerful druid prime, it obviously isn't my intention to turn into something with double digit hit points while I'm under attack. I suggest that in order to shapeshift while in combat, players be forced to type battleshift <form> instead of the usual shapeshift <form>.
