There are a plethora of ways around;
One option would be to setup a vnc terminal on a pc that has full net access and use vnc viewer to connect, (you can set the port to whatever you want with vnc so you can find an unblocked port) and it is unlikely that they will block any random ip address.
Another option would be to setup a personal webpage with a fmud or simliar client service it can run, say in the web space provided by the school or by your ISP and then browse to said page and go in from there.
The first option has the advantage of being able to run your tintin/wintin/zmud client on the home pc and use your scripts and whatnot, but has a latency disadvantage, the second would be less latency but limited scripts.
