Mob level changes?

I recently fixed a bug that allowed necromancers to animate any size creature with any size corpse. Ive known this was a bug for quite a long time just did not have the time or energy to track it down because of other work we had been concentrating on. But because of the fix players need to find higher level corpses again, which brings me to the following.

It has now been brought to my attention by Thraxas and confirmed by other players that a few mobs that used to be level 41 are no longer that level. The changes did not happen during this version of sloth and I cant track when they happened. I am baffled to be honest because I am unaware of how or when they change and I obviously pride myself being extremely informed about the game. We changed very few areas and mobs during the switchover and some of these mobs may of been hit.

If you come across a mob you feel should be level 41 please enter it in the bugs list and I will check them as I come across them. If they are worthy of being a level 41 I will gladly change them. Keep in mind that upping the levels of mobs will increase the power of that mob.

I also wanted to apologize to thraxas for disagreeing with him, not listening very well, and not really discussing the matter. My vikings had just tossed an interception and I was extremely annoyed:)

There was no concerted effort to diminish the number of corpses available.

Any changes that were made during the switch were for the sake of balancing the mobs out. So if the mob was small but inappropriately leveled, it may have been changed.

I will see what I can do to make some more corpse mobs available on AH.

I found some areas on AH where mob levels could be raised some and made more level 40 and 41 corpses.

Tundra, Dark Dreams, Dark Chasm, Diabolan Encampment

Where possible I tried to not increase the difficulty of the mob by penalizing the mobs spellsave, but raising their level will still make them slightly tougher. Can't make all the people happy all the time.

Also we may decrease the need for level 41 corpses. But that's not my department.

Thanks both for this, good to know the imms here listen and care.

I reported the corpse level vs animate bug long time ago despite it only working in my favour as it was plainly a bug and as such should be fixed, but as at the time I was told emphatically it was a feature not a bug so I felt it was ok to use the exploit.

Now its been fixed, good ... no complaints from me.

However since the fix I'm having to use all my old S3 corpse farming runs and I've discovered that many of these corpses are simply not big enough for anything other than wights.
I haven't actually complained about this nor asked for any change, I simply informed Splork of the change ... what I was actually hoping for was some clue as to where I'd be able to find an alternate corpse farm, this was an unfair and fruitless hope.
Even with the changes to levels I've still managed to find a workable number of mobs with lvl 41 corpses to run on AH.

If you want to raise some mobs up to lvl 41 to make big corpses more abundant and so things easier then great, thanks, dark tower or highlands would be fine candidates as would diablon valley.
Dark Dreams however would be pointless as you cant animate undeads (mostly) and I think Tundra is a little big/aggro for a workable corpse farm.
