i would seriously like immorts to modify it so the quicksilver wands work on innkeepers b/c i am sick of people dying on continents alone and you can't get to them because even if you can get on a boat right away you don't ahve enough time to get to them. people shouldn't be abandoned and made to feel unimportant or whatever just because they aren't in one huge group. And since no one on here will have relocation anytime soon this is a VERY small thing to ask.

and while i am on the subject of changes I would like to say again that good locates should be possible for people other than 40 mages PRIMES til you get avatar. since again avatar isn't going to happen as soon as before.

I also would like to be able to properly identify the quicksilver wands to see how many charges are left on it.

Thanks for listening to me I know others will be posting stuff too and please keep it to serious things like off the wall stuff if you could so maybe we can actually have immorts read this :)

as far as I know, quicksilver wands were meant to facilitate players joining groups in other continents. They weren't really meant for you to move around.

How is it using the wand for joining groups any different from, hrm, moving around?

It would make sense to let the wands target innkeepers. Since there's normally going to be at least one pc on every cont, it's purely a convenience issue and not at all balance-related.

This is probably more of a balance thing. But perhaps if identify doesn't work properly on quicksilver wands (never tried it myself, just heard.) the wands could come with a built-in charge checker. Something along the lines of:

exa wand
[desc]
It vibrates with power!/It seems fairly magically charged./The wand has a barely detectable magical aura.

Or what have you. Perhaps it could be dependant on having detect magic up, or spellcraft learned.

it's to facilitate grouping, not for your convenience of island hoping and making boats obsolete.

What i don't understand is why players expect to play at the same level of convenience, and expect to solo 500mil xp an hr, when they didn't have it at the same levels in sloth3. if the imms were to do everything like not reduce ac on lower lvl equipment, make magic missiles as powerful as frostbolts, and make lvl 10 thieves able to splork demogorgon, why would they do a pwipe in the first place and implement a new code? Be thankful for fargate wands in the first place. They were meant to be used to gate across continents to a group, not meant as a means for island hoping.

being raised is a bonus, not a right. whenever i die now I just quit! and come back again and get my own corpse because hell it's my own fault i died. the admin has already lowered the cap for losing xp, etc. if you want to take risks and push the envelop of the limits of your character, I don't see why the game should be channeled towards making your death less likely to result in losses.

To be honest I'm surprised they made the wands in the first place. I think it goes a bit far to want to use them like relo for newbies.

Oddly enough, I agree with Jezer and Gimlet on this one. We made a very nice gesture with the fargate wands and their are always plenty of them ingame.

I still firmly believe that some people need to corpse in this game to make it exciting. Exploring continents when you are the only one there is part of the risk/reward factor.

I think we are going to leave the wands alone.

I'm fine with the wands not working on innkeepers but I think there should be a way to know how many charges are left on the wand, either by identify or the thing Rynquald suggested.

As you can see, there is no 'bloodloss message', but also no xp, no killing blow, just a complete waste of effort. I really don't have any clues for immorts as to what to look at to figure out what causes it :(

Were you following someone when killing?

I noticed if you were following someone, and the other leader wasn't grouped, you'd get no xp. Can't confirm it, but im thinking that might be it.

Yeah, I know that bug. This one is different... No one killed the elk. It was morted, then it was dead. No killing blow, no bloodloss, just dead.

Sometimes I wonder why I bother but here goes
can we please get succor modified so as you get 2 40 it creates regular recall scrolls instead of just minor??? or if by some reason this is not possible a greater succor spell put in the game so you can?

also I will bring up once again can we please get locate spell adjusted so you don't have to wait til avatar 2 to get good locates if you aren't a mage prime...

I really would appreciate an immort response to these issues and thanks for all you do i know it isn't anything easy and i know for a lot of issues there are no easy fixes. Sometimes it is just nice to know someone is listening
