Bug killing with undeads?

Can someone take a look at this problem with exp on kill:

Doesn't happen all the time but happened a few times:

A spectre brutally massacres the giant sundew with its claw.
The giant sundew is dead! R.I.P.
You received 1 experience points.
Your blood freezes as you hear the giant sundew's death cry.



You miss the kobold sage with your whip.
A spectre misses the kobold sage with its claw.
A spectre claws the kobold sage extremely hard.
A small Ju-Ju Zombie massacres the kobold sage to small fragments with its hit.
The kobold sage is dead! R.I.P.
You received 1 experience points.
Your blood freezes as you hear the kobold sage's death cry.

I've seen this too ... but only when I blast with energy drain ... this seems to have been modified and buffed somewhat but also reduces the (level?) xp gained for the kill

Back on Sloth3 it was a "feature" of juju's that sometimes you won't get exp with the juju. I'm not sure if this is the case, but it sure would be rotten if it is.

I think Thraxas just hit the nail on the head.

I looked at Juju and it seems energy drain is one of the spells it can cast.

I made a kobold sage and cast energy drain on it a few times and sure enough it sucked the exp right out of the mob.

Coders intended at one point to fix the spell so it doesn't work this way, but I guess it was overlooked.

I can't fix energy drain, but I can remove it from Juju's.
