Can someone fix this? Or give me a plausible explanation why it should be this way?

Temple ruins, above pygmy king. Peeps dead at king. I go in, and kill the one mob that's in there. Notice that the room doesn't actually lock, though it gives the appearance of doing so, and that the doors don't open on mob death, resulting in 3 corpses and me wishing I could ambush.

Well yes, that the exit didn't shut behind me.

But primarily that the door down didn't open after kill. You know, so I could save the deads.

It seems like the two are not unconnected...
