Chill seems to last about an hour. I could be just high but it seems like an awfully long time for a spell from a tiny newb mob to be on you affecting your str->dmg.

Mobs that can bash every round and make it stack even though you are already bashed, chain-bashing, is not cool at all. I understand there need to be some bash/slappers to make entrench worth having but good christ. Check out the treants in the swamp sometime. Its kind of silly when a level 30 avatar can't take out 3 400k mobs without dying. (Insent comment about me being a newb here, then gfy )

I think chill can be dispelled..
In particular, warty goblins's chill can be dispelled by holy cleric. Don't know any other newbie-chillers :)

Second wind lets you shrug off the effects of the bash. The manual is zoned.
